THREAD: The Horowitz Appendix on Woods Procedure violation contains some interesting details which have thus far not been commented on.
2/ This one on Halper will be of interest to @RealSLokhova. The footnote descrining Source # 2 (Halper) was totally redacted in FISA applications. 
3/ however, there are two details that can be extracted from the Woods Appendix: FBI footnote stated that Halper had been paid in six figures since 2008 and that he had "routinely provided reliable information that has been corroborated by FBI".
4/ FNI also (falsely) said that Steele reporting had been "corroborated and used in criminal proceedings", but Horowitz observed no supporting documentation for corroboration in regard to Steele (as none with Halper)
5/ FBI footnote on Steele said that FBI was "unaware of any derogatory information pertaining to" Steele. I wonder if they used same formula in redacted footnote on Halper (despite his cocaine charges) or whether they omitted a seemingly obligatory checkbox for that reason.
6/ here's an odd mis-statement by FBI. They said that Steele had reported information in "several meetings from June 2016 through August 2016". We only know of single meeting with Gaeta in that period, then one in early October.
6/ FBI's statement that Steele only provided information to Fusion and the FBI has long known to be untrue and FBI belief in this statement both gullible and implausible. Horowitz reported that this assertion was contradicted by FBI's own Woods documents.
7/ Renewal applications stated that FBI suspended relationship with Steele due to his "unauthorized disclosure to the press", also asserting that suspension occurred AFTER Steele provided reporting used in FISA. But watch the dates.
8/ watch the dates. 2nd meeting with Steele was in Oct 2016, not Aug 2016 as stated by FBI. And while Mother Jones incident was after reporting took place, Steele's contacts with Isikoff and others was before "reporting" to FBI in Oct 2016.
9/ in March 2017 renewal, FBI told court (in redacted section) that Page, who, by then, was being threatened, was living in and out of hotels and claimed that "NYC area provided Russian intel with "viable area to clandestinely meet" with Page.
10/ Mar 2017 FISA renewal stated that FISA surveillance had netted a document in which [Page] "outlined what appear to be talking points that are meant to counter media reports that cast Page in a negative light". I.e proof that he was a witch.
11/ in June 2017 renewal, FBI claimed (in a redacted section) to have proof that meeting between Sechin and Page, asserted in Steele dossier, had in fact occurred. I wonder what their supposed additional evidence was.
