[THREAD]
• The web is a text-based medium
• To write great copy, know the emotions you are invoking.
• Two main emotions: solving a painful problem or fulfilling a key desire.
• If you aren’t targeting one of those two, you’re a commodity, not a product.
• Combine storytelling with channeling emotions.
• Know your market better than they know themselves.
• Ask yourself: what am I really selling? Go deeper than your product
• Don't compete on price. Target emotion instead.
• Don’t kid yourself: advertising works on you.
• Curate your information diet accordingly.
• Use it in reverse: advertising works on everyone. Get good at it.
• Most dental practices compete on price, and their copy reflects this
• The differentiators write their copy to target emotions.
Which sounds better?
• "$200 better than competitors!"
• "Giving you the confident smile you deserve."
You're probably procrastinating and calling it learning. Stop.
Instead:
• Read one book on copywriting: amazon.com/Great-Leads-Ea…
• Find a way to practice what you're learning (swiped.co)
• Pay to get coached by the best.
Highly recommend subscribing and tuning into each episode.
