I need to make something perhaps a little more clear regarding my stance on covid v masks.

There is ZERO question that covid is a very pressing concern.And people are dying.

Last night my dad made me aware of 3 separate incidents that are directly tied to my family.

The 3 confirmed incidents of covid I am referring to are:
1. Our former pastor, Pastor Doug Schultz, passed away from covid a few weeks ago. He was overweight & 78.

2. My step mom’s brothers ex-wife & family have it

3. There are 17 cases in the home where my stepmom gramma died

So let there be no confusion. We do have a national health issue at present. And it is effecting families everywhere.

But it is also being politicized by miscreants who would sell their own mother for power. And we saw round 1 of their 💩rodeo last night

As I have already tweeted twice, in the TV and film business I was required to become certified and then re-certify every 5 years in OSHA Respirator and breathing safety.

We were taught that N-95’s are effective in blocking particulates. Like drywall dust. Or brick dust

There are 4 levels of respiratory PPE.

They are:
1. Paper masks (N-95’s)
2. 3M cartridge respirators (block fumes)
3. Full face masks (like gas masks)
4. P4 positive pressure head gear (like what virology scientists wear)

Wearing an N-95, neoprene or lycra buff, a paper “loop mask” or a bandana is essentially hyper-cautious and borderline virtue signaling

One must wear either a P4 or full gas mask for protection against viruses.

That is a fact, a pure, non-political fact.

Lastly-Whereas I personally don’t like it, I do support any private business having the absolute right to determine “no mask, no service”

If you own a shop that is your prerogative. Respecting private ownership is Conservativism 101

But while we’re at it, I wouldn’t mind seeing fewer pets walking around in the produce section of stores either.

I would prefer parents with a baby in need of a diaper change take their baby and change them BEFORE crowding me at the check stand

We could do with cell phone

“babblers” carrying on at top volume in public spaces like any of us care about what their ex-borfriend did or didn’t do last night.

I’d like to see a few less dope smoking stoners who reek like a skunk’s butt every time I leave the house.

My point is if you want to wear a mask, wear a mask.

If you want me to wear one in your home or car that is fine, too. Emphasis: YOUR home. Your car. I can choose to stay home or visit another time. Or bite the bullet and mask up.

But if you want to get in my face and threaten me because you’re wearing a mask and I am not...

If you want to lock me in a store & call the mask-police like in Costa Mesa...

My answer is what it has always been and always will be:

This is America.
