IMPORTANT ELECTION NEWS (for real) - So I got a call today from a friend of mine, Andrew. He and his wife are 1st generation American Citizens from Africa, tho his wife just achieved her citizenship and just registered to vote (#Democrat, in case you were wondering).
Andrew and his wife both received unsolicited calls from a blocked number telling them that they shouldn't #VoteByMail because it is unsafe and it is un-American.
Andrew, who has been a #DemocraticVolunteer for a number of campaigns (including mine) was suspicious, so he asked the caller to explain more. It became abundantly clear that they was being targeted by the #GOP and volunteers for the current President
He believes that they are actively targeting newly registered voters for this campaign of dis-information in an attempt to suppress the vote of Democratic leaning voters.
He asked me to use my platform to get the word out...and he was right to raise a flag of concern. Folks - don't let the #GOP and the Trump Campaign lead you to believe that #VoteByMail is bad - it isn't. It is safe and if you follow the procedures, your vote will be counted!
