The supreme goal of the Democratic Party is to make sure politics is about everything except politics, meaning the policies that will be implemented that affect people's lives. Do Biden & Harris even *have* a foreign policy or trade policy?
But one thing I will say for the establishment wing of the Democratic Party: they want power, and will do what they have to in order to get it. That's how they see the game. And beating them will require actually caring about obtaining power, too, not self-glorifying gestures.
