.@TDSBDirector in her Directors report speaks to Federal funding - we have now received high-level details - more details will be provided later in the meeting - additional funds will help - commends the Board, Unions, Federations, parents and communities for advocacy
Please know, however, the Director notes @tdsb school start will not be delayed - still targeting September 15 - registration survey has begun - despite many changes and challenges focussing on safe back to school plans - thanks all partners as we have navigated changes

Oral update from staff - Reopening Plans - focussing on new information since the last update and an overview of the work to come - each day plans are enhanced - AD Snider will speak to funding; AD Witherow will speak to registration; ES Gold will speak to Staff Survey...
AD Snider - 4:30 received @tdsb allocation of Fed funding - $6.4M for teacher staffing; $10M for additional staff, leasing, etc. $25K for transportation; province is holding $44M back for driver retention; remote learning $3.7M; spec ed $700K; $21M in total - more funding in Dec
Re HVAC funding - received notice that @tdsb share of $50M is $6.9M and working now on how best to use; and also received $1.2M to support cleaning bussing as part of the $40M
Clarification again, amount allocated to memo was $344M and @tdsb got just under $21M - PPE, nurses and retention not distributed to boards directly - province has held $50M
Staff will ask Ministry how do we plan for @tdsb staffing in the long-term with additional money coming in December - trustees express disappointment not more $ for teachers upfront

.@TOPublicHealth reviewed their methodology - identified 80 @tdsb schools in neighbourhoods deemed at a higher risk for COVID-19 - see the map below.
Based on the revised information from TPH @tdsb staff revised analysis of class sizes based on the number and grades of students in those schools - highlighted in yellow the numbers that changed
.@TOPublicHealth did a composite index score to rank neighbourhoods in terms of their risk for increased COVID19 transmission when schools reopen. The composite score based on neighbourhood level data - case information in combination with select socioeconomic  indicators.
