@katieengelhart @CalSunday Really great article and you certainly investigated all aspects of Nursing Facilities from many perspectives. My heart goes out to the Residents and their loved ones. Also the Staff who weren’t adequately supported nor guided by the Facility Owners,State Licensing and Protection.

I hope they have emotional support as they feel grief, guilt, depression, helplessness. Lawsuits cause staff stress, not that lawsuits are bad...
@katieengelhart @CalSunday But Staff will feel worse than the corporation owners. Staff feel pressure from seeing so much death, remaining residents/family stress. Just think if the cold owner had personally called each victim’s family, apologized and supported the underpaid staff. Protective equipment??
@katieengelhart @CalSunday I am thankful every day I am not working as a Nurse any more. This is a nightmare and deserves a debriefing and review how to deal with future similar experiences. Of course every empty bed had to be filled in order to pay the bills. Reality is it’s a narrow profit margin. Fin.
