Many of us have spent the last 4 years trying to understand how and why MAGAs stay loyal to Trump in the face of so many lies, the obvious cognitive struggles, and the demonstrated incompetence again and again!
I suspect the answer lies in the reality that we live in a society..

... where 1 in 4 females and 1 in 5 males will be molested in their lifetime.
... where 1 in 4 children experience alcoholism or addiction in their families.
What does this have to do with politics?
Growing up in an abusive or addictive family conditions the child...

...to carry a burden of responsibility too large for their years.
...to cover up and hide the signs of abuse or neglect.
...to yearn for all of the attention they never receive from their families.

These children grow up and may choose a partner who repeats the cycle of abuse because it is familiar!
Or they may become abusers themselves.
Chances are many of us know a family where the woman believes the apology from the abuser again and again.

When you are stressed familiar is appealing!
Without a doubt Trump is the equivalent of a cop who abuses his wife and she has no one to whom she can turn.

What breaks the cycle is often having one person outside of the family who does not judge, who listens, and who believes in you!

And once we put @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris in the WH & provide them w/ a #BlueCongress we must stand together and stop the abuse!
That means we educate our children at every grade level in schools the difference between abusive and healthy relationships.

We equip adults and children with the tools and resources needed to break the cycles of abuse.
Ending the cycles of abuse will make it much harder for abusive people like Trump to find a following.
