Today is the birthday of one of my all times favourites, the multifaceted genius Dr Bhanumati Ramakrishna (1925-2005). She was an actor, singer, writer, director, producer, music director, editor and studio owner! A polyglot superstar for her times!

Her autobiography in Telugu titled 'Naalo Nenu' was translated into English as 'Musings'. It gives a brilliant account of her times in the film industry.
As a trained Carnatic classical musician, she was a devotee of Saint Tyagaraja. She sang and participated in the annual Tyagaraja Aradhana at Thiruvaiyaru as long as her health permitted her. ☺️🙏
In 2013, the government released a special postage stamp in her honour. ☺️🙏
