@TheAge poll re support for #COVIDVIC19 lockdown extensions: Tracked 70% yes, 30% no and performed normally with votes trickling in. Then, yesterday, a sudden spike of 15,000 'no' votes occurred in a few seconds. Several more sudden spikes have been recorded. #IStandWithDan
I have tracked and recorded the sudden spikes, and have screenshots of how the poll progressed over time, with a number of sudden spikes demonstrating bot 'block votes' were purchased at least 4 times.
These two screen shots were captured 16 seconds apart, and captured a sudden spike of 'no' votes, only possible via a scripted bot 'block vote.' 
There are websites which make it easy for people to simply buy thousands of votes in Twitter polls, and it's easy to do (corporates often do it to generate buzz in their online comms).
It's much harder to script bots to vote in custom or 'non-Twitter' polls, such as the same poll running on the Channel 9 website (Channel 9 is the owner of @TheAge).

A Liberal Branch leader from NSW (with ties to federal cabinet, and a chequered past) has since been found to have called for troops in NSW and the USA to 'flip the poll.'
I place no stock in this poll, and other similar ones on Twitter, but there's no way @TheAge can publish the poll and place any stock in its results, as it's clearly been hijacked by a scripted voting block.
UPDATE: The Age has now deleted the poll.
Someone sunk at least $2,000 USD into buying bot votes and now it's gone.
