On tonight’s session we are going to look at the healthiest beans to be consumed,the cooking time for some of them and how to eat beans for us to get it’s benefits. Now let’s go 💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿😊😊
1. Peas
2. Kidney beans
3. Black beans
4. Soya beans
5. Pinto beans
6. Navy beans
7. Lentils
8. Chick Peas
9. Cranberry beans
1. Black beans:This is medium sized oval shaped beans with matte black skin.They are sweet tasting with a soft texture,it takes 60-90minutes to cook.
Cranberry beans:They are medium sized oval shaped beans with a mottled tan and red skin.They are known for their creamy texture with a flavor similar to chestnut,takes 45mins to 60mins to cook
Kidney beans:They are large kidney shaped with a deep red glossy red skin
they hold well in soups and other dishes that cooks for long,it can also be used in salad,it cooks for 90mins to 120mins
Navy beans: They are small oval beans with white skin, it has a delicate flavor,it cooks for 90mins to 120mins.
Pinto beans:They are medium sized,oval shaped with mottled beige and brown skin. It is used to make Mexican refried beans.
1. Start slowly: You can’t just start eating beans in large amounts just immediately,it will be too much for the body
to digest,so start with one meal at a time.
2. Eat beans with easy to digest ingredients: Don’t pair beans with other gas inducing foods like broccoli,Brussels,sprout and kale.
Cook them with spice that aids digestion.
3. Find different ways to include them to your diet.
4. Aim for varieties of beans
