EXCLUSIVE: The dirty tactics Brussels used on Northern Ireland that enraged London enough to push button on Withdrawal Agreement bombshell. thesun.co.uk/news/12618129/…
Under the terms of the WA export of "products of animal origin" such as meat, fish, shellfish, eggs and dairy from the UK mainland over to Northern Ireland will become subject to EU oversight - why they signed up to this, you may ask... but there we are......
EU has a “Third Country” list of approved nations that can legally import agricultural goods into areas subject to their rules.

The UK being on that list is assumed in deal scenario

Barnier’s team more than hinted the UK will not be given that legal status if talks collapse.
So the prospect of GB to NI agri-goods imports being outlawed by Brussels in that scenario is very real - a constitutional abomination. And something that clearly cannot stand in the eyes of this govt tonight. Wonder who would disagree?
That perceived threat prompted ministers to demand a “safety net” to address the problem with new domestic legislation... and many of them believe the public and MPs will be on their side in that fight. But it’s a hell of a fight coming. thesun.co.uk/news/12618129/…
Brussels tonight do not deny they are dangling third party status. EC sources say they can't possibly begin assessment of whether UK qualifies for place on its approved list until it knows post Brexit standards.

For anti-spin have a look who has mananged to make the list before.

Cabinet Office drawn up horror show warning on what the country could face this winter. And it’s been leaked to @thesun. As Brexit talks slip into acrimony, and covid second wave fears rise.. here is what is on the warning dashboard: thesun.co.uk/news/12474511/…
The Cabinet Office’s EU Transition Task Force gave ministers and officials a horror show Powerpoint presentation marked “Official Sensitive” amid concerns not enough is being done to prepare for the worst-case scenario.
Lots of the Yellowhammer stuff rolled over from last year - navy protecting fishermen, border chaos sparking shortages of medicines, chemicals and even food. Stockpile warnings. But the perfect storm comes if Covid and flu cases surge at same time.

🕵🏻‍♂️ A long delve into what has been going on at the daily XO No Deal planning meetings... first up Rees Mogg presented paper on Tuesday they will mean no brexit legislation pre 31/11 - five Exit bills are on ice - changes to be done by SI dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7…
XO have agreed that all No Deal planning decisions are to tackle three issues in order - safety and security, then flow and only then revenue for govt or biz.
They’ve also agreed to rollover the “continuity approach” that was cooked up May after heavy lobbying from car industry. Basically we unilaterally recognise EU standards on drugs, goods, data etc and do only spot checks at border. Will keep stuff coming in.. exports remain 😬
