Today we are hearing a report on the work @CityofPhoenixAZ has provided throughout the summer during #COVID19. I will be sharing some highlights ⬇️
Our @PhxLibrary has provided 914,600 library materials to residents. Their Kid’s Cafe has also served 13,000 meals and 1,000 activity kits for families. 📚
We procured 1.3M pieces of PPE for 29 school districts/300 schools.

✅1,136,000 Masks
✅1,500 gallons of hand sanitizers
✅38,000 isolation gowns
We committed nearly $5.5M in utility, rent, & mortgage assistance helping more than 1,400 households. 🏡
Our Day Respite Relief center has served approximately 19,000, averaging 204 per day.

In partnership with @SVdP 31,250 meals were served.
65,588 meals were served to home bound seniors.
We held 6️⃣4️⃣ #COVID19 testing events across the city and conducted more than 26,000 tests with community partners. A few:
@ValledelSolAZ
@equalityhealth
@EmbryHealth
@HeroZonaOrg
These are just a few highlights from this past summer. Every employee has stepped up & served our residents no matter the circumstances. This pandemic has tested us all, but #Together we will get through it - stronger & better than ever.

⚠️#COVID19 Changes to PHX Parks Easter Weekend⚠️

The physical distancing we are doing is working—we must keep it up. For @PhoenixParks Easter Sunday is the equivalent of Super Bowl weekend but, not this year. (THREAD)
🚨To ensure the health of all Phoenicians and Parks employees there will be NO picnics or BBQ in city parks. Parking lots will be closed unless vehicles display a handicapped placard🚨(2/4)
Park amenities such as playgrounds, athletic courts, and bathrooms are already closed and will remain so. Open green spaces and walking paths will remain open to allow residents access to fresh air. Please protect public health and #StayHome. (3/4)
