ASPIRIN : The Wonder Drug

Aspirin is an NSAID (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug). It is used as an anti-inflammatory agent and in the treatment of alot of diseases. It is used in reducing pain, fever, in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis,spondylitis...

Aspirin is referred to as a “WONDER DRUG”, because different dose of aspirin will treat different ailment.
For example, VASOPRIN which is used in pain relief,heart attack and fever is just a low dose aspirin. Vasoprin is 75mg Aspirin.
• 500mg of Aspirin every 4-6hrs will treat rheumatoid arthritis.
• 75mg of aspirin daily can prevent stroke.

Omeprazole which is a drug used in the treatment of stomach ulcer,heartburn and certain oesophagus problems is a PRODRUG which is converted to “Sulfenic Acid” which is the active form of the drug to exert it effects.

It mainly works by inhibiting acid secretion in the stomach.

It should be taken at least 1hr before meals.
Some of the side effects of the drug include

Headache and abdominal pain which is not usually serious. Though some people experience serious side effects like muscle spasm, irregular heartbeats, rash, seizures.

Taking Alabukun with 7up is not a method of contraception.

Douching(washing) the vagina with coke after sex is not a method of contraception.

Taking Amoxicillin or Ampicillin immediately after sex or within 2hrs after sex is not a method of contraception.

No matter the amount of salt you use.

Drinking hot water after sex and eating garlic is not a method of contraception.
Taking Loads of Andrews liver salt with coke and lime is not a method of contraception.

Taking honey,raw egg, lime and washing it down with dry gin is not a method of contraception.

Taking mashed garlic, lime with 7up or coca cola after sex is not a method of contraception.

10 drugs you should avoid if you are pregnant or plan on becoming while taking it.

1. Tetracycline
Tetracycline can harm the fetus. It affects the bone and teeth development of the baby. It can also cause the teeth of your child to be permanently stained.

What are NSAIDs saying ?

NSAIDs stands for Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs.

They are used for treating inflammation, for pain relief, treating swelling, for fever, Arthritis amongst many others.
Examples of NSAIDs include
Aspirin,Ibuprofen, diclofenac...

Precautions to the use of NSAIDs

• People with asthma should avoid taking NSAIDs and should see their healthcare provider about it before starting or stoping it, as it can aggravate the said condition.
• People with heart disease should be cautious about NSAIDs.
