#Barr’s DOJ under investigation for political pressure during #Stone sentencing
Prosecutor #Zelinsky testified before Congress that he was told by the office of the U.S. Attorney to request a “lighter” sentence for Sone, a #Trump buddy
“Zelinsky said the U.S. Attorney, #TimothyShea, was ‘receiving heavy pressure from the highest levels of the Department of Justice to cut Stone a break, and that the U.S. Attorney’s sentencing instructions to us were based on POLITICAL CONSIDERATIONS’”
AG #Barr stepped in, saying that the sentencing recommendations from the #DOJ weren’t acceptable and were “too high” and told the prosecutors to rewrite the sentencing document.

"These are precisely the circumstances for which a full bond or deposit is necessary, where defendants' approach would leave (the attorney general's office) with substantial shortfalls once this court affirms the judgment," AG James wrote.

RISK OF EVASION
James also said there was "substantial risk" that Trump might not pay up, or might move assets beyond her reach, if he lost his appeal.

This state of affairs favors Ukraine in an important way. If the Ukrainians can reach the Sea of Azov anywhere and hold their positions, they will have cut the GLOC.
The Russians, thus, have to hold the entire thing.
The Ukrainians only have to win and hold in one sector to render virtually all the Russian-held territory west of their advance untenable
