The above question is a mystery that has been difficult to answer over the years. I am an ardent believer in the scriptures but things happen that we can't understand.
I will be sharing several experiences in the below thread.
Below is what the Bible say but I have encountered cases where the man who died appeared to people after they have died.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Before I go into contemporary experiences, those who are familiar with the Bible will remember the event on the mountain of transfiguration where Elijah and Moses who had died hundreds of years ago appeared to Jesus and the three disciples he took to the mountain.
This is an example of people who died long ago but appearing on the scene many years after.
And Elijah appeared [there] to them, accompanied by Moses, and they were holding [a protracted] conversation with Jesus.

Some years back after the demise of my maternal grandfather, I told one of my uncles on a humorous note that I am more experienced than all of them. He was amazed and asked why. I said I have buried my father and mother and also buried my maternal grandparents. He smiled!
Well, the above tweet may sound easy to read but I still cry even over 20 years after some of these events. My mother was a very dedicated believer. Infact, on the day she was to pass on, she prayed for everyone including her colleagues at work. She served God till her last day.
Now, to the crux of the matter. Some months after my mum's departure, she appeared to one of her close friends who was also with her on the day she left us. The woman dreamt that she saw my mum who was in a glistening white cloth. While my mum sat, my brothers came to greet her.
My mum's friend asked her in that dream where I was. My mum answered that I have departed from the way she put our feet on. [My mother left me a vibrant Christian brother but I relaxed after she left]. This friend of my mum relayed the message to me and I understood it.
Some weeks after, another brother in our church who was a leader of a Christian youth group I belonged to had a similar dream. In that same dream, he had an encounter with my mum and the message was the same. "Tell Wole that he is not behaving well according to my desires"
The brother passed the message to me and I made necessary amends. On the path of my father, he wasn't born again before my mother departed. Even though my mother laboured in prayers for my father's salvation, it didn't happen in her lifetime. It happened 6 months after her demise
My father was a very tough man. He was so tough that he had gone to switch off the power supply of the house while my mother prayed in the night. He was never used to going to church. He attends church only on New Year, Easter and Christmas days.
Before my mother's demise, he started coming to church and he was even given a chieftaincy title in church [Don't mind us in the orthodox church]. With this in mind, I was always thinking that my father will give his life to Christ on a private note but the contrary happened.
There was a revival in church and an altar call was made and to my utmost surprise, my father walked to the front in response to the altar call. It was one of my greatest shock. So God can arrest people like this? My joy knew no bounds that night because of my mother's prayers
But the real story was that my mother appeared to my father that night which was exactly 6 months after the death of my mum.
Remember the question at the beginning:
Do people still live after they have died?
Do dead parents watch over their children?
Do the dead fight those who kill them?
Do the dead appear to people after they have died?
The story continues and you can share your personal experiences too.
Years later, my father passed on but it was under some questionable circumstances which involved some family matters. Some of my uncles and aunties were not happy and they told me they want him to fight back. I told them I was not interested as I have left vengeance for God.
On their own, they went and got the traditional people who talk to the dead. My dad was invited and there was a conversation with him [the dead]
Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
1 Samuel 28:11 KJV bible.com/bible/1/1sa.28…
According to them, my father [who was dead at that time] spoke to them and they had their engagements. For me, the only place in scripture that was done had a reference to a familiar spirit and I am always careful to embrace anything that has no scriptural backing.
Years after, my grandfather passed on but all his children and grandchildren were with him 10 days before his departure. The day he departed, my family that lives 100km from where he was at the time of his passing had a very big bang on our gate that morning.
My uncle whose family lived almost 200km away from where my grandfather was also experienced a big bang on their gate.
What signal was my grandfather creating?
Meanwhile, all the bangs and signals happened almost simultaneously.
Later on, we heard from the elder sister of my grandfather that my grandfather visited her on the morning of his departure. [By the way, my grandfather died in the hospital]. She didn't know that my grandfather had passed on as at the time of the visit. They talked as usual.
There are many experiences that showed that the spirit of dead people still live amongst us. There is a similar case that happened in Philadelphia many years ago. A woman was sick and was dying. A doctor was sent for and he came to treat her.
After treatment, the doctor asked for the person who came to call him but the woman said she is not aware of anyone. After a while, the man looked around and saw some clothes on the floor. They were the clothes worn by the lady who came to call him.
He asked the woman who owns those clothes. She answered that they were the clothes of her daughter who died some months ago. Certainly, it meant that the dead daughter was the one who came to her mum's rescue by going to call the doctor
Do people still live after they have died?
Over the last weekend, a close fellow went for a burial. He was involved to the point that he was in the mortuary. At the morgue was a dead body that has been there for the past two years. The attendants in the morgue said that the spirit of that dead body was angry.
It'll surprise you that those attendants in the morgue are not ordinary people. They interact with the spirit of the dead just the same way a doctor attends to his patients. Imagine a morgue attendant telling my friend at the mortuary that the spirit of a dead body just left now
My friend asked him: "why is he angry?" The man answered that the dead woman is not happy with the way the dead body has been left in the morgue for over two years.
Incidentally, the family members were to pick that dead body that day.
Not quite two minutes after this episode, the family members called to find out if that particular dead body had been dressed for them to come and carry it. Meanwhile, my friend that went to carry the dead body of his uncle was engaged further by the morgue attendant.
The attendant told him that your uncle was a good man. "He never wan die. To you, he don die, to me, he never die". Those where his words. He said the dead body that my friend came for didn't give them any problem. This is a signal that dead bodies could be troublesome.
Remember the spirit of the dead body that left the morgue. By the time her family members got to the morgue, she had returned and was observing what was going on. Her own casket had been brought in and was a beautiful one made of glass.
As my friend was about to carry his uncle's corpse and exit, the glass covering of the glass casket of the woman broke. Hmmm.
My friend thought he was the one that caused it. Meanwhile, the family members of the late woman started a scene. After so much noise and calm returned..
The morgue attendant told everyone of them that it was the late woman who broke her casket herself.
Mystery, you will say...
These are mysteries many may not understand until perhaps they experience it. Recall I started the thread with my own personal experience.

THE CAKE IS SHRINKING: MARKETING BATTLES IN NIGERIA'S ECONOMY
The Nigerian media has been buzzing with news of major foreign companies exiting the market, sparking concerns among citizens about the economic implications. The concerns are genuine considering the impact of MNC.
From a marketing lens, this corporate exodus can be viewed as a consequence of Nigeria's sputtering economy and the ensuing battle for shrinking market categories. The cake is getting smaller, and those who want to get a slice of the cake are increasing in number.
At the core of the issue is the phenomenon of the "shrinking cake" - the reality that many consumer product categories are stagnant or declining, even as the number of competitors vying for those finite markets increases.
I have watched with utter astonishment how leadership is not made to be largely responsible when things go wrong in a family, company, institution, state, or even a country.
The above caption depicts my thoughts about leadership.
Leadership can make or mar a country, an institution, an agency, a company, a department, a region, or even a family.
The leader is the driver of the vehicle, and he determines the direction of the vehicle.
In this post, I will be sharing examples from the Nigerian polity.
It is also an opportunity for us to engage and exchange views on the topic of leadership in our nation, Nigeria.
If this topic is not trashed, leaders will always blame citizens for their shortcomings.
Diclosure: I am a practising sales and marketing professional, and this write-up is based on my experience in this field. I also teach marketing as a professional course.
It is going to be a long #Thread
This P&G issue has been a subject of discourse amongst marketing colleagues since the news broke.
There are many angles to look at the challenges.
One of it is the Nigerian economy, whose per capita income has been on a decline since 2016.
When per capita income delines, it is a sign that the average wealth of the individuals in the country is reducing.
We must also remember that Nigeria has been having a double-digit inflation since 2016, which means the purchasing power of the people is reducing.
If you have a restaurant and people find it difficult to park or they have to park on the main road at the risk of being caught by law enforcement agents, then you may be losing clients without knowing.
