Chad Wolf’s nomination as Secretary of DHS MUST be opposed.
Wolf, an architect of family separation, has championed some of the Trump Administration’s cruelest, most unpopular immigration policies. #FreeTheFamilies
In Dec 2017, Wolf produced a list of options to slash immigration, including the separation of families at the border. Among others, it also included what is now the “Remain in Mexico” policy and a proposed measure to expedite the deportation of children. #FreeTheFamilies
Wolf has championed the Trump Admin's “Remain in Mexico” Policy. During a visit to the border, Wolf decried calls to defund the policy as a “critical mistake,” praising it as one of the “most successful initiatives" at DHS to “[help] root out fraud” in the asylum system.
Amid the #COVID19 crisis, Wolf ensured that DHS continued to separate families through a false, "binary” choice, forcing parents to waive their Flores-agreement rights, or remain in indefinite family incarceration. #FreeTheFamilies
While serving unlawfully, Wolf oversaw the implementation of countless cruel asylum policies, including the ramping up of the expulsion, detention, and deportation of vulnerable individuals and children during the #COVID19 crisis.
DHS expelled 159,000 asylum seekers without due process, including 8,800 unaccompanied children.
They also detained at least 660 young children, some as young as one, for weeks at a time, and their parents in hotels as immigration officials made plans to expel them.
Under Chad Wolf, ICE and/or the private contractors who run the Irwin County Center subjected immigrant women to a physician who performed a disproportionate number of hysterectomies. Often these women were provided no understanding of why these sterilization procedures occurred.
In open defiance to the Supreme Court, Wolf disobeyed the court’s ruling to reinstate the #DACA program to its 2012 policy, and instead issued a new memo that reduced DACA coverage from two years to one and rejected opening the program to initial applications. #FreeTheFamilies
Chad Wolf engineered President Trump’s inhumane and unpopular immigration policies — his nomination MUST be opposed. #FreeTheFamilies

FWD.us is releasing a new report, "Dismantling #DACA & Terminating #TPS: A Moral and Economic Disaster That Hurts All Americans" which highlights the devastating human economic & political consequences of Pres Trump's anti-immigrant agenda bit.ly/3j93DB7
The new report is the first in a four-part series, which will detail voters’ overwhelming rejection of these policies.
Broad public support for DACA recipients and TPS holders has been galvanized by the courageous advocacy of the people most severely impacted by these policies.
Numerous national polls have made clear that Americans of all backgrounds - including President Trump’s own supporters - are strongly supportive of immigrants and immigration, and even more so now than when he took office.
