I also remember a TV interview where Donald and Melania confirmed that she did his hair.
Maybe someone else can find this.
📘 Also on Trump's hair, excerpt from Michael Cohen's "Disloyal, a Memoir." This occurred in June 2013.
Checking into the Vegas Trump Tower, I was summoned up to his suite to discuss the day's events.
📘 Cohen book (cont'd)
Trump was in his underwear, white Hanes briefs, and a white short-sleeve undershirt, watching cable news on television. He barely seemed to register that it was unusual for a grown man to be in a state of undress in front of an employee, but there it was.
📘 Cohen book (cont'd)
On this occasion, Trump was fresh from the shower and he hadn't done his hair yet, as it was still air-drying. When his hair wasn't done, his strands of dyed-golden hair reached below his shoulders along the right side of his head and on his back,...
📘 Cohen book (cont'd)
...like a balding Allman brother or strung out old '60s hippie.
I called his plane Hair Force One, for good reason. Trump doesn't have a simple combover, as it would appear.
📘 Cohen book (cont'd)
The operation was much more involved than a simple throw-over of what was left of his hair: the three-step procedure required a flop up of the hair from the back of his head, followed by the flip of the resulting overhang on his face back on his pate,...
📘 Cohen book (cont'd)
...and then the flap of his combover on the right side, providing three layers of thinly disguised balding-male insecurity. The concoction was held in place by a fog of TREsemme TRES Two, not a high-end salon product.
📘 Cohen book (cont'd)
Flip, flop, flap, and there was the most famous combover in the world.
📘 Cohen book (cont'd)
The real reason for the extravagant and obvious overcompensation for his baldness was vanity, and the desire to appear younger and more vigorous than he was.
📘 Cohen book (cont'd)
But there was another unknown reason: he was hiding unsightly scars on his scalp from a failed hair-implant operation in the 1980s.
📘 Cohen (cont'd)
That was the disfiguring operation that resulted in his furious "emotional rape" of his first wife Ivana, as she documented in a lawsuit in the early '90s; like Samson, Trump believed his virility & image were harmed if he was seen to be losing his hair,...
📘 Cohen book (cont'd)
...or, even worse, injuring himself in an attempt to disguise male-pattern balding.
📘 Cohen book (cont'd)
If Trump let strangers see the red sores on his scalp, he would appear to be vulnerable, even pitiable, not the unstoppable sex-god alpha-male billionaire he wanted to present to the world—and himself.

🗣️🧵 Two important speeches made by John Heilemann on Morning Joe:
"Joe, I’m struck by the same thing you are, right, because we’re both students of history, in a midterm election where the empowered president has an approval rating in the thirties. 1/
And the main economic variable for a lot of people in their lives which is inflation—even if it’s maybe getting a little more under control right now—it’s still way too high—and people talk about it all the time out here in America. 2/
You know, in a circumstance like that, you should be looking at a landslide for Republicans and I think Republicans thought that’s what we were looking at as recently as this spring and then a bunch of stuff happened. 3/
🧵 I'm reworking an old thread about Clarence and Ginni Thomas from 2018.
The Thomases have a friend named Harlan Crow, a very rich real estate developer who has sculptures of Vladimir Lenin, Josef Stalin, Karl Marx, Nicolae Ceausescu, Che Guevara, etc. in his backyard garden.
I would say the most egregious "favor" Crow did for them was uncovered by @mmcintire in 2011. Crow financed the restoration of A.S. Varn & Son Oyster & Crab Factory, a cannery outside Savannah, GA & built an adjacent museum, The Pin Point Heritage Museum. nytimes.com/2011/06/19/us/…
This was a "pet project" of Clarence Thomas', according to the article.
🗣 Jonathan Swan: Let’s talk about a candidate you have talked about: Herschel Walker, the leading GOP candidate in the vital Senate race in GA. You endorsed him. Yet his ex-wife says he pointed a pistol at her head & said “I’m going to blow your f—ing brains out” and…
Swan (cont’d): an ex-girlfriend has accused him of threatening her life. Why is he a suitable candidate?
Mitch McConnell: Herschel Walker has addressed that issue repeatedly over the last 10 years. I think he’s—
Swan: It’s a heck of an issue.
McConnell: Well, he admitted he had had some troubles in his life. He’s been an exemplary citizen in recent years. He’s a hero in GA. Almost every candidate’s had troubled periods.
Swan: I mean, I don’t know that almost every candidate has pointed—
🗣 “I really hope that Russia—because I really believe that President Putin would like to do something. I really hope that you and President Putin can get together to solve your problem. That would be a tremendous achievement. And I know you’re trying to do that.” ⬇️
Trump to newly elected President Zelensky. A not-so-thinly-veiled threat since Russia had already invaded Crimea in 2014 and had started a war in Donbas in eastern Ukraine. That’s why Zelensky needed weapons to defend his country. 8:30 in. 9/25/19
Trump was impeached for the first time on December 18, 2019 for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
Trump withheld aid from Ukraine in order to attempt to influence the Ukrainian government to announce an investigation on Joe Biden, his opponent.
I've been screaming about this since 2018. Canada 🇨🇦developed the “Learn to Discern” program which taught 15,000 Ukrainians 🇺🇦 how to detect and decode misinformation and propaganda.
If the Ukrainians did not have this training, they might be begging Putin to annex them.
Finland 🇫🇮, the Netherlands 🇳🇱, Poland 🇵🇱 & other European countries are also took measures to educate the public on Russian propaganda and cyber attacks. We continue to do nothing. #RussiaReport
⁉️ Why in God's name haven't we done this in the U.S. the #propaganda and #disinformation is OUT OF CONTROL here! It is the biggest problem globally, without question.
Fox News, OAN, Newsmax, etc...all need to be regulated somehow.
