#Tesla in India calls for a thread: Read in detail
Have you seen a more ugly interior with a sea of plastic for a 55k USD Model 3 ? The 100 USD Screen is not even built it. It's bolted in. Has a loud cabin at 120 kmph. Put 3k USD more and you get a luxury Lexus. (1/10)
So much for being a fan boy eh ? Lexus is a premium luxury car with far superior build quality, fit and finish, rich materials, better options, and a quieter cabin at 120 to 130 kmph than the aforementioned Tesla. “Premium” should stand for more than a price tag. (2/10)
They lack the sound insulation, double pane window glass, and active noise cancelation in Lexus. Tesla build quality is low, below any average Indian car you can see. Let's compare it to other luxury cars of the same price range ? (3/10)
No one can save this planet building any electric car. The transportation sector includes cars, trucks, planes, trains, ships, and freight. The U.S. has 30 percent of the world's automobiles, yet it contributes about half of the world's emissions from cars. #greenhouse (4/10)
And jets are notorious polluters as are trains and boats. China has 1346 billion and India has 1161 billion passengers-kilometer respectively. They have 80% of world's trains. See % for transport (other charts in internet have lesser percentages for transport) #emissions (5/10)
If Elon Musk or anyone from EV industry says that he is gonna save the world from Greenhouse gases with Electric cars, its the most stupidest thing anyone can ever say. Just see where EVs are getting their electricity from. IT'S NOT CLEAN ENERGY. At least not completely (6/10)
The 55k USD is an expensive car but not a premium car. Indians will hate this other than dubious fan boys who don't have the ability to buy them anyway. Much of the people who can afford it will weigh the options and they won't buy it. Don't forget Indian Roads (7/10)
I am not even stepping into the space needed for the Super chargers. With the loud cabin and everything, it will definitely fail to sell for the value it markets to provide. Its Resale value will be less in Indian Markets which will totally harm its sales. Fanboys can STFU (8/10)
Much of the people who can afford it will weigh the options and they won't buy it in India. India is very different when it comes to cars and they are more than just status symbols. For many its an emotion. So many brands launching & then pulling out should be a lesson! (9/10)
There is more to be done before EVs become affordable for a Car in India. @atherenergy has already started a revolution & inspiration here for 2 wheelers. Looks and feels much premium. Self driving ? Waymo is way better. Tesla will just be a dream for a few years. (10/10)

I've seen founders in TN struggling to raise. here are some pointers for you to help. while money is available everywhere, wrapping up a raise quickly so you can get back to concentrating on the product works best for the startup.
/1
please don't raise when you're desperate for money. especially if this is your first raise. always have backups when you start. you're more likely to do mistakes, accept dumb money and even worse, bad money and bad people in your cap table.
/2
never employ a professional group who can raise for you in exchange for equity or money. VCs hate taking meetings for. anyone else other than founders especially for an early stage founder.

Is #Tesla really profitable ? (Why it will fail in India-thread)
The only way a tiny profit exists is by selling ZEV credits. Without zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) and other regulatory credits, they wouldn't be able to report four consecutive quarters of GAAP profitability, (1/8)
a milestone that met the qualifications for Tesla to join the S&P 500. In California &at least 13 other states, any auto manufacturer who wants to sell their cars into that state must sell a certain amount of electric/hybrid electric/other ZEVs. (2/8)
Automakers who are not selling these vehicles yet, or not selling many of them anyway, will buy credits from someone who is for compliance. Since Tesla only sells ZEVs, it doesn’t need to keep the credits that it earns and can sell them before they expire. (3/8)
@airtelindia can chose to clarify this publicly without asking me to shoot a DM or they can choose to be silent and send me an automated message like you always used to do. I noticed reduced 4G speeds always and nothing seemed to improve. After a few days of..(1/n)
..constant calls and emails, their customer representative came on call and told me Puducherry doesn't have proper 4G network towers for Airtel and they are constructing the same and that's why there were network + data speed issues. Then today I received a message..(2/n)
...that you have upgraded 4G network and it will be much better. Then if you didn't have the necessary infra to deliver what was promised as a network provider, why did you charge us full for the whole past 1.5 to 2 years ? Why can't you have a proper customer support ?..(3/n)
@kfc@KFC_India Twice when I bought from you using UPI, the amount was deducted from my account but it didn't reflect there. Either way, I gave my contact details for the KFC branch to contact me that if it comes back so that I can transfer it back again.
@kfc@KFC_India@kfc@KFC_India But, now they are calling me and asking me for my bank statement from 04/02/2020. I don't know if it's advisable to share my personal information. When I asked for an official KFC email id, they refused and asked me to share it to KFC.jipmer@sapphirefoods.in
Please let me know how to proceed. I am receiving multiple calls. The matter is of 1000 INR. But, I am talking about blatant disregard for Privacy. I am disclosing the person's contact number as it's from KFC
