#SupremeCourt #upscjihad
The case was adjourned to October 5 after Centre had informed the top court the @SudarshanNewsTV was being called to justify whether it violated the program code or not. The hearing took place at @MIB_India on October 1
A letter has been circulated by the Centre stating that the inter-ministerial committee had recommended changes to the episodes which are yet to be aired. Hence the ministry is giving another hearing to the channel, thus in view of this, a short adjournment has been sought.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta: The inter-ministerial committee also heard Sudarshan tv and their contentions are recorded. The recommendations are forwarded to Centre. Next hearing is scheduled for tomorrow

Justice DY Chandrachud: We will give you time
Justice Chandrachud: Centre has issued a show cause notice to Sudarshan News today and they are to appear tomorrow. Since the hearing is yet to be completed. We accordingly stand over the hearing. Next hearing to be scheduled for October 26
Senior Adv Sanjay Hegde: Will the hearing start all over again on October 26 or the old bench will resume

SG Tushar Mehta: You are just an intervenor. What is this? a hearing has just started and this has happened before
Adv Shadan Farasat: The only question is to check the difference between hate speech and offensive speech.

SG: We have to stop broadening the scope of the case
Adv Shahrukh Alam: Please consider adhering to your earlier order on Oct 26

Justice Indu Malhotra: How can we say that now?

Justice Chandrachud: don't worry we will have a full hearing. Have confidence in the process
