Donald Trump's own secret service agents have criticised his decision to make a surprise drive-by visit to supporters who gathered outside his hospital.
While the visit was met with delight by the crowd, members of the medical community have complained that Mr Trump's outing broke his government's public health guidelines.
Inside the car, Mr Trump was seen wearing a cloth mask and no gloves, while the secret service bodyguard was seen wearing a medical-grade mask (N95), face screen and protective scrubs.
They were approximately 6 feet away from each other.
"Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary presidential drive-by just now has to be quarantined for 14 days," said @DrPhillipsMD, the chief of disaster medicine at George Washington University
White House spokesman Judd Deere said Mr Trump's drive-by was "cleared by the medical team as safe to do".
