Human beings are goal achieving machines.

People don’t react to situations. They react to their *unique perception* of situations.

Understanding means being brave enough to see how things *actually* are by zooming out and detaching yourself from the situations you encounter.

I used to suffer from "writer's block"

I'd sit down to write an email for list, stare at the blank screen and ask myself "WTF do I write about today?"

Eventually an idea would appear and I'd write something that sounded "cool" only to get mediocre results.
