What are private companies?

Private companies are companies owned by share holders with promoters holding the maximum number of shares.

What is the purpose of private companies?
The purpose of private companies is to earn maximum profit with minimum / efficient effort.

Will any private company create employment more than what is the bare minimum required?

No, in fact they will always try to get maximum work done by the minimum number of employees.
Will a private company work for public welfare and good?

No private company will work for public welfare or good unless they are able to get tax concessions of the same or bigger amount that they spend. Which is actually self defeating because the
discretion of where to spend and how to spend is left with them. CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds are now being used to bribe political party's and further their agenda rather than being spent on real social issues.
When a private company will not work for public good, how can privatization be good for the society?

Governments sell us this idea that privatization is good. But the truth is that public companies have been created over a long period of time and
have assets that are far more valuable today than at the time they were acquired. The book value of the public company that is being sold does not reflect its real worth. Any way a government is a trustee of such companies for a period of five years.
During this period if it is able to sell the company, which they first show as loss making, they get a kickback into their personal and or party account. This makes such deals attractive to all concerned. But as public companies are generally liberally staffed due to their
alturistic purpose, first the government works to reduce the head count in the name of loss and then sells the company for their personal and party profit.

Has any such sale gone bad?
Not one but many. Centaur Juhu was sold for a low price and the buyer could sell it again in a few months for 40% more. Take the case of VSNL, which was sold to Tata's at 1300 Crores when it had a reserve of 1000 Crores. In UK, the Thatcher Government sold British
Railways and now they are thinking of nationalizing it again.

How come public enterprises run by the government are making losses while the government claims that it a successful government?
That is the paradox. And a lie. The public sector companies are being deliberately killed to allow governments to sell them on the cheap in the name of making losses. Bureaucrats run these public sector companies and if they are given freedom then they can do what
the private sector does with them anyway after their acquisition. But that will not result in personal profit for the politicians and their party, therefore these organizations are deliberately run to the ground. BSNL is still waiting for 4G License.

With a clear cut agenda to sell the country, Modi always knew that the promise of 2,00,00,000 jobs every year was never going to get fulfilled. He lied about job creation right from 2013 onward.
The youth waited. Then they started to see the sale of national assets taking place and the clever decimation of PSU's which were providing bulk of the jobs. That is when they woke up and the tipping point was the Corona outbreak which rendered the economy defunct.
Probably the last straw came when Modi literally abandoned the country by asking it to become self sufficient. That signaled a total failure of the government and exposed it as having no policy or plan to take the country out of the mess of sudden and brutal lock

This is what justice for SSR achieved:
1. He was addicted to drugs.
2. He disliked his family, especially his father.
3. He left his long time girl friend once he became big in bollywood.
4. He lived with Rhea for many months.
5. He had four girl friends in 2 years.
6
. He holidayed in Thailand with Sara Ali Khan.
7. He wasn't murdered. It was a suicide.
8. His sister stayed with him for a week preceding his suicide.
9. He was in a state of depression. Consulted four clinical psychologists.
10. He was admitted in Hinduja hospital
for treatment.

When he died, I felt bad. I felt aggrieved. I remember a smiling face. A hero who conquered bollywood coming from a humble background. As I write this, far too many people who SSR loved and trusted are suffering and in the dock.

HOW EXACTLY IS TRUMP DOING?

Trump may not be doing quite as well as the White House would like us to think. We will know he will come out of this only after another week.

This New York Times team reporting on Covid19 is probably the best in the game.
Gina Kolata is a long time NYT health correspondence and has written an authoritative book on the Great Flu Pandemic that took over 50 million lives after WW1, when soldiers returning home carried it to all parts of the world. India too lost almost 2 million people.
Apoorva Mandavalli is the NYT science reporter and was the 2019 winner of the Victor L. Cohn award for scientific journalism.

"At a news conference on Saturday outside the medical center, Dr. Sean P. Conley, Mr. Trump’s physician, painted a

Modi is all about optics. His best description came from L.K. Advani. Advani said that Narendra Modi is a very good event manager.

The image of his lighted face sitting inside his bullet proof SUV while riding inside the Rohtang Tunnel is nothing but
event management and PR.

Same is the case of walk in his 10 Acre Humble Home at 7 LK Marg Delhi with Peacocks (protected species under the wildlife act) while the country reels from the quadruple impact of demonetization, GST, Lock Down and Job losses due to economic collapse.
Even during these times of extreme stress on the nation, the PM is missing from the front lines. He does not address the concerns of the nation but does everything else. He beats around the bush at every opportunity to address the nation and talks on inane subjects.

What is the most important thing in today's modern world?

It is money, that controls us. Our lives revolve around money. We want to earn more money such that we can live a comfortable life and give our family a comfortable life. We want to have
money to get over any emergencies in life like a medical emergency. We want to have money because we need a roof over our head, food on the table, cloth on the back and comfortable environment around us. We want to earn enough to live in a society that
provides us with worldly comfort, where we can go out with our family for a walk, take a swim, play with the kids.

Yet, when it comes to understanding money, managing money, etc. most of us tend to shut down and leave that to others.
