FL state Sen @JoeGruters & GOP chair to me: “It’s idiotic.”

I asked him if he would have pro-Trump electors declare him the winner even if Biden carried Florida & he said “no.” Asked again, he said “No. We would not do that”
Incoming Florida House Speaker @ChrisSprowls was sent the tweet in question about electors & told my colleague @Mdixon55: “no. Because it is totally crazy. We are fresh out of tin hats.”
A spokeswoman for incoming Florida Senate President @WiltonSimpson similarly denied this claim, referencing statute 103.011 says electors are bound by the actual election results 👇 bit.ly/304Dw6R

US Circuit Judge & former FL Supreme Court Justice Barbara Lagoa is at the top of Trump's list to fill Justice Ginsburg's seat. Source who spoke to WH: “Justice Lagoa is perfect. [Trump] president wants a conservative jurist and he wants to win the biggest battleground." 1/3
2. Geography aside, Lagoa also has some demographic advantages: she's a Cuban-American from Miami (Hialeah), a crucial voting bloc for Trump.

3: just because someone is "at the top of the list" does not mean she's going to be picked or has been picked.

It's not too little but is it too late? Overseas absentee ballots go out in 6 days, domestics the 24th. In-person early vote starts Oct. 19

... At what point do we hit saturation on ads? Both sides have spent and reserved $319 million on TV in Florida, according to Ad Analytics

Now, if the money is spent on the mechanics of helping people vote/get to the polls/get registered (time running out), that's something else
