The Perfectionist (glorified procrastinator) fears getting messy

In the arena you're going to get messy
In the stands you'll stay clean

Messy, ugly, imperfect - the doer seeks progress & gets things done

Optimization through iteration not speculation
When our bandwidth for discomfort is maxed out

There is no more room for good discomfort (challenge, problem solving, progress)

The inability to get messy reveals a life maxed out in messiness

The mess is internal
Not feeling good enough is the internal mess

When a person lacks this

Their primary purpose becomes fixated on appearances to fill the void of self esteem

Seeking to look figured out, polished, flawless

The confident person with self esteem does not have this void
They are able to get messy, be imperfect, show their flaws, put themselves out there & optimize as they go

The 'perfectionist' can't be seen in the figuring it out stage

Unable to make a mistake

Their self worth is not solid, each expression is a gage of self worth

*Thread* - Needing nothing attracts everything

Building your kingdom Image
Do they need you more than you need them?

Answering this question honestly, can almost always predict the outcome

(Sales, Dates, Friendships...anything)

Are you inviting them to your kingdom

Or are you inviting yourself into their kingdom?
Be like the lighthouse

Firm & grounded

In the country (life) you’ve built

You shine so bright those who see the lighthouse are attracted to come

Getting out of the sea into certainty
To the promise land, where their needs & desires are met

- Inability to delay gratification reveals

There is currently not enough gratification

- Inability to act without certainty reveals

There is currently not enough certainty in their life
Taking on additional discomfort (challenges & goals)

Can’t be done if discomfort levels are already maxed out

Delayed gratification will not be possibly when you desperately need gratification
Taking on uncertainty will not be possible if uncertainty is maxed out

Less you need the more you have

More you have the more you can give

To give effort & energy towards goals (taking on good stress)

Our stress levels can’t be maxed out
If they are we have little to give

Man put his beach stuff in crowded area

Leaves to go in the water. Actor comes & steals his radio

10% of people made an attempt to stop him

2nd experiment - before going in the water he would ask

“Can you watch my stuff?”

This time 90% of people attempted to stop the thief
🔑 Humans strongest desire is to be congruent

To who they believe they are, say they are, & who others believe they are

By simply agreeing to watch his stuff

People found bravery & inconvenienced themselves to confront a thief

over a radio that belongs to a stranger
🔑 How to use this

1) Ask
Or
2) Make a complimenting statement

“I like how you’re clear thinking.

It’s very refreshing to talk to someone who recognizes patterns and quickly makes good decisions”

Them accepting this praise sets that identity to be congruent to...

I relied on talent when I was younger

No Plan
No Strategy

I'd just show up to anything & get decent results

But I can tell you from experience

A untalented person with a plan
Will beat a talented person with no plan

Which is why my results were decent not great
Here's why

- How often I showed up was inconsistent

- Wasn't doing the highest ROI things

- Would often need to make miracles happen to compensate for wasted time/inefficiencies

- Getting decent results but knowing I was capable of great results destroyed confidence
^ that last one is important

Seeing untalented people, beginners, even incompetent people at times

Get superior results

Messes with your head
Self worth, confidence, etc

It is ESSENTIAL to have a plan, discipline, & strategy
To allow your talent to truly be utilized/rewarded

The weak seek to kick others off their pedestal

To bring them down to their level

The powerful stand high on a pedestal they’ve forged of unbreakable gold

They bring others up
Both do so unconsciously

The weak have weird vibes which lower the energy

Make passive aggressive remarks, criticism & insults to bring down the vibe of others

Unconsciously bringing it down to match theirs
The powerful operating from their high pedestal

By default the way they carry themselves unconsciously raises everyone’s vibe

Makes people feel good about themselves, raising them up

Without even trying it’s their default mode of operation, their vibration

“I want _____”

“But I also want...

- To not risk looking foolish
- Not risk rejection
- Not ask unless I know I will get
- Not sacrifice or let go of anything”

You always get what you want

When you want the ‘but’ more than the actual desire, you won’t get the actual desire
Allow the desire to land

By opening your hand

But with a massive checklist of ultimatums as the dominant desire

Your hands remain closed to what you want to grasp on to what you don’t want in exchange for it
Once you make a decision & set a clear intention

The universe tries to deliver gold to you

But if you grasp onto bronze with your hands closed

the gold can’t land in your hand
