Recapping a few things in a short thread......

First, Rudy was out in NYC last night at a largely maskless event, ignoring CDC isolation guidelines, potentially spreading the virus.

TeamTrump's disregard of common sense protocols core to this story.

Have to see Trump/WH in unique position to create massive spread in DC, nation - no masks/social distancing/isolation/big crowds/travel/many events/WH itself like train station.

It was WEEKS of super spreading with nothing done to stop the spread.....

DC region should be looking at far more aggressive measures to stop a potentially significant unchecked outbreak...

Implementing 2-3 week mandatory work-from-home for US govt, WH, Congress should be on the table....

The issue of whether the President may be mentally impaired by COVID itself and/or his treatment just has to become a legitimate top of discussion today.

Too many respected doctors are sounding the alarm.

Concerns about the President's mental state coming from inside the White House.....
Finally, why do people in Trumpworld view isolating for 14 days after exposure as something optional for them, like a mask? Meadows, Pence, Barr, Coney Barrett, Rudy have all refused to isolate.....why? @PressSec didn't isolate for 4 days after expose....

Isolating, like masking and social distancing, is a critical tool to help slow or stop the spread of the virus.

I don't understand why so many Trumpites view it as optional. It's dangerous, crazy even, reckless.

@MayorBowser should get involved.

Suppression of info about how COVID is ravaging the White House continues to be MINDBOGGLING, reckless and dangerous.

We all need to spend time in coming days on why Trumpworld has found it so difficult to fight the virus.

Yes, there was no federal response, but why did WH itself drop all CDC protocols? Why aren't they masking, isolating now? Why are the rules different for them?
Even after a virulent outbreak which has spread thru WH, campaign, Pentagon, Senate, House, CA/IN/NJ/OH and who knows where else, Trump, Pence, Meadows, Barr, Coney Barrett, Rudy still not isolating. Masking still appears optional. Why? Why can't they accept realities of COVID?
Their recklessness is endangering their closest aides, colleagues, family. Who would do that? Where does Meadows, for example, go at night? Who does he see? Dude was in hospital room w/Trump when POTUS had no mask on. He could be Corona Mary now. How can he still be working?

The COVID story that matters isn't the health of the painted man in the WH - it's about the ongoing, relentless failure of Trump to protect the American people.

COVID rates are rising, he himself has spread COVID across the US - it's madness.

It is critical that we get a straight answer today about what is happening to all those who have been in close proximity to Trump in recent days - did they have protective gear on? Are they quarantining?

Will anyone be allowed in the same room w/him at the WH?
We also need to understand:

Is WH working w/DC-MD-VA to contact trace their outbreak?

Why aren't folks like Pence, Barr, ACB Meadows isolating as the CDC requires?

Just like w/the nation itself, not clear WH has ANY plan to stop spread it caused.

That Trump/Meadows haven't initiated any kind of contract tracing/isolation regime for the big outbreak the WH/President has caused months into the pandemic is a terrible reminder of just how inept, reckless and dangerous this team has been.

They've just allowed people to die.
In NJ the RNC is not fully cooperating w/state health officials, making it harder to contact trace and contain the virus.

The state is also investigating what appear to be clear serious COVID restriction violations by Trump and the RNC. (Thread).

Not going to retweet the video but the President has COVID and should be isolating for at least 14 days.

WTF he is doing? He’s already caused all sorts of people to be infected. Why he is endangering his staff, others near him?

We are deep into Mad King territory here.
So is the headline in all the papers tomorrow going to be:

“President recklessly leaves isolation, endangers dozens around him at hospital”

What other sick COVID patient in a hospital anywhere can just go take walks around, go visit people?

How crazy is this?
Many folks on my feed wondering with the drugs he's been taking could be affecting hid judgement......need more on that.....

The more you look at the timeline the more likely it appears the President was positive and capable of spreading COVID at Tues night's debate.

Whether he knew and went anyway is a big question. But certainly would help explain his crazy performance.

I've produced a possible alternative timeline below.

If the President was spreading the virus last Friday and Saturday, then it's almost certain he would have tested positive before the debate.

If the President was infectious starting last Friday, the number of people he could have infected is enormous, and we could be in the early stages of a major regional and national outbreak.
