If you are enjoying our collective lurch toward a literary level dystopia then by all means don't vote.

You have much to look forward to I promise.

1/
If state promoted racial animosity, that hopes to turn everyone into combatants, is your thing, then don't vote.

If you like to watch others being gouged by predatory lenders with no oversight then don't vote.

2/
If you aren't genuinely concerned about the direction we are going as a country and truly believe that we are in a better place than we were in five or eight years ago, hell, thirteen years ago, then don't vote.

3/
If you think that the coronavirus is fake or approve of our government's response to it, or think it's fine that a leader of any nation has the right to lie to their citizen's about something so important then don't vote.

4/
THERE IS SO MUCH ON THE LINE THAT IT PARALYZES ME WITH FEAR EVERYDAY AND TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE STILL UNFOCUSED OR UNDECIDED.

IT makes me absolutely crazy.

Rome is burning, except this time we are Rome.

5/
I really am appalled that anyone finds any of this acceptable on even a basic level, because this has been/is such a shit show that it has turned our nation into a punchline after four years.

This country will not exist in its present form if this is allowed to continue.

Oh, @donlemon.

I thought you were smarter and more sophisticated than to buy into misogynistic tropes like "Hillary Clinton was the most unpopular..."

I understand that by being a member of one of the groups who most need Clinton to always have been hated you are biased.

1/
I know that it would be easier for people in your profession if what you said were actually true, but it is false. And saying this lie out loud is irresponsible and, for the record, completely unnecessary.

Don't even know where to begin here, because your database is flawed

2/
LET us bypass the fact that from the time she stepped into the national spotlight her relationship with the national media has been slanted at best, and that she has rarely been treated fairly let alone accurately.

So, there is that.

When asked about a peaceful transfer of power Trump said he could not promise one w/ paper ballots in such wide use. There are so many problems with the ballots, he complained. He's fine, of course, with an election run only by electronic ballot thoug.

Venture to guess why?

1/
He argued w/o the ballots there would be "no peaceful transfer of power, and frankly, no transfer. It would be a continuation."

Damn.

He knows this because he knows the Russians will successfully hack the vote in his favor. And he knows it will works because it did once.

2/
Trump comes perilously close to an admission/confession for 2016b here and his turns of phrase regarding the use of ballots border on treason.

There is an underlying and undeniable threat within his verbiage that is horrifying.

And exactly what I warned he would do.

I've had a crush on @1NatalieMaines for 25+ years. Pretty impressive given I am gay. But, if you're paying attention you know that I often get crushes on extraordinary women. Hell, I've been in love with @LoveTinaTurner, @BettyBuckley, & @HillaryClinton most of my life.

1/
I bring this up because @thechicks newest album "Gaslighter" has been getting me through a lot lately.

But it's also a kick in the gut.

I despise cheaters. Infidelity sucks y'all.

I know, It's been done to me so often in the past much of this album is about infidelity.

2/
When @thechicks say anything they don't pull any punches. They sort of just pieface you with it and go back to getting on with things.

It what they do and part of why they amaze me and are still relevant decades after they began.

#Gaslighter is a powerful piece of art.

This seals it.

2020 is now at par with 2016 in ranking as the Worst Year Ever.

I am crying so hard right now I can barely breathe.

I loved #RuthBaderGinsburg for what she did, who she was, and everything in between.

I mourn for our nation and our highest court.

1/
There are no words to describe what this means, in purely negative terms, for our nation, and for the future of any kind of right you can imagine.

This is how our dystopia begins

Right here.

I feel like I've been kicked in the gut.

This is a nightmare.

2/
I have to admit that a cloud of hopelessness is hanging over my head right now and following me wherever I turn.

I am made Eeyore.

I would love to to think this will turn our way and that we will be able to do now what the Republicans managed with Merrick Garland.

But...

Meet #ErinDecker.

She is a County Board Supervisor for Dist. 22. She is a Republican. She is one of the two county supervisors who invited Trump to Kenosha.

Tonight she sat with her back turned to the community. It was unbelievable. It was disrespectful. It was ludicrous.

1/ ImageImageImage
Her attitude, demeanor, and actions spoke to who she is as person and what her ideas are vis a vis minority communities in Kenosha.

"I THINK HE'S DONE A GOOD JOB."

- Erin Decker, Kenosha County Board Supervisor, on Donald Trump's Kenosha Response

2/
"IT WAS SELF-DEFENSE. 80 % OF PEOPLE IN KENOSHA SUPPORT WHAT KYLE RITTENHOUSE DID."

- Erin Decker, Kenosha County Board Supervisor, on her support of Kyle Rittenhouse.

Ponder those quotes for a minute.

This woman is the Chair of the Republican Party in Kenosha County.

Do not let the media or right wing opposition write our narratives. Let the evidence write them Instead.

Remember how Hillary Clinton lost the state of Wisconsin because she did not visit there?

Practically handed it to him she did!

That damn Hillary Clinton!

1/
That's the story they tell us, so it must be true. RIGHT?

Of course, that view strengthens the "Hillary did everything wrong" narrative that has dominated the coverage since 2016.

'Blame Hillary' has become a national Olympic sport at this point.

2/
But the truth is much more sinister and much more complicated than the silly and misogynistic lie that all of this is Hillaryb Clinton's fault.

In fact, the real story of how Clinton came to almost not lose Wisconsin actually turn the accepted narratives on their ear.
