There is a poison pen in my mom’s HOA and the whole situation is bonkers.
Been going on for six years but now boiling over to open accusations at driveway COVID gatherings
Me: “you know—at least according to Agatha Christie—it’s a common tactic for people to send at least one to themselves.”
My mom: “I KNOW!”

Meanwhile, and unrelatedly, she’s writing a novel based set among a loosely fictionalized HOA 😱
Recent recipient accused a guy who then started crying and so now the accuser thinks that’s proof he’s guilty.
Me: WHAT?!??
Me: WHAT?!??
Six years and nobody has yet made a spreadsheet of relative clues and timetables to eliminate suspects.
My mom has always wanted to be Miss Marple but now that the opportunity is upon her she’s really falling down on the job. (Admittedly, she’s 83.)
