So I just got an email from a staffer of @speakerpelosi @team_pelosi: "Thanks for the request -Speaker Pelosi is not available." What did I ask? "Does Speaker Pelosi have ANY availability between now and Nov. 3?" #WheresNancy 1/4
I also talked to my man @MadisonSiriusXM, and he's been requesting @SpeakerPelosi to do his show for years and it hasn't happened. Yet both of us have had @senschumer on multiple times. #WheresNancy 2/4
It makes NO sense that @SpeakerPelosi's communications team IGNORES Black Media and won't book her. What should they do? They should have her doing Black media rounds AT LEAST once every six months. Target nationally syndicated radio shows; digital shows; and Roundtables 3/4
with other Black-media reporters. She has no excuses. If Schumer can do it, so can @SpeakerPelosi. #WheresNancy #BlackOwnedMediaMatters #RolandMartinUnfiltered 4/4

Y'all may want to let this person know that this is my 13th Black media experience. And at every one we've had to fight tooth and nail to get interviews with major political figures, entertainers and others. We also have to fight like hell for ad dollars, and it's often way 1/5
less. Since @Kamala_for wants to opine on my business, does she know that the federal government spends $5 BILLION annually on advertising yet Black media gets 1%? insightnews.com/business/fed-a… That is my agenda item if @JoeBiden @KamalaHarris wins. 2/5
See @kamala_for, Black-owned media can't grow and build scale if we are always relegated to 2nd class status. Does @SpeakerPelosi know who I am? Absolutely. Who is blocking her from doing interviews with Black media? Her staff. How many of them look like us? I'll wait. 3/5

1. Is what the @GOP doing with the Barrett confirmation hearing constitutional? Yes. Does it run afoul of Senate customs? Yes.
2. When McConnell blocked #MerrickGarland, was that constitutional? Yes. Did it run afoul of Senate customs? Yes. 2/8
Do I get why @KBeds wouldn’t answer @jaketapper’s question? Yes. The @GOP wants “court packing” to be an issue in the final 22 days. Now, here is also what is CONSTITUTIONAL: those in power get to change the laws, rules, customs. If @senatemajldr can do it, @SenSchumer can. 3/8

Clearly @AriFleischer didn't read the ridiculously named "Platinum Plan." More like Aluminum Foil Plan. I did. All of it. And it's a hodgepodge of stuff that isn't coherent; is filled with airy statements that mean nothing; and wasn't even proof read. 1/10
So @AriFleischer, Trump says he wants to make Juneteenth a national federal holiday. So why was he silent when @SenRonJohnson blocked it in JULY? No tweet. No public statement. He could have weighed in then. He didn't. That's BS. 2/10
So @AriFleischer, @realDonaldTrump wants to make the anti-lynching bill federal law. Where was he when @RandPaul blocked that? No tweet. No public statement. Did he publicly call for its passage? NOPE. Just more platinum plan BS. 3/10

In the last 48 hours, three brothers - two Kappas and an Omega - sent me a text checking on me. One specifically asked about my health.
He wrote: "Let’s support one another in our efforts to get and be healthy." I replied about my physical AND mental health. 1/6
One, I appreciate them checking in. In the past six months, I've had my wellness check; got my colon referral from my doctor and scheduling that; and focusing on diet and exercise. Why did I denote the frat? Because I'm an Alpha 2/6
and affiliations don't matter. Whether we in a frat or not, we are still BRUHS. But the texts were important because all too often Black men don't do that. We don't holla at one another. Another said: "No. 2020 has been a bitch. We have to check on people we care about!!!" 3/6

Since conservatives @EWErickson @DougHeye @Ron_Christie @Tracinski @SykesCharlie and others are demanding Dems speak out more forcefully on what happened to @RandPaul and some acting a damn fool in the streets, let me break this down. 1/3
THREE SAYS AGO, anti-mask protesters - some armed - overwhelmed state troopers and took over the House gallery. "Unmasked Protesters Push Past Police Into Idaho Lawmakers' Session" npr.org/2020/08/25/905… The gallery seating was limited due to COVID. 2/3
These Idaho thugs said screw the restrictions and took over all of the gallery seats. The Idaho Speaker of the House - a Republican - relented. The state troopers opted NOT to arrest these thugs saying it would lead to MORE violence. Huh? 2/3

I'm cracking up at these folks who are so bent out of shape at my Khalid Muhammad story. Do y'all even realize the stuff Black journalists have to go through just do our jobs? We ALL have stories where we had to "go there." 1/6
When I was a new city hall reporter at the Fort Worth @startelegram, the city was going to pass an initiative to hire ex-gang members. I send a note to Mayor - now Congressman - @RepKayGranger to do a quick interview for our afternoon paper. 2/6
The measure passes, Granger calls me to the rostrum, I kneel down, jot down some quotes, run to the city hall press room and phone it in. When the meeting is over, I'm across the room and City Manager Bob Terrell, who is Black, points at me with his index finger and 3/6
