Last night at his townhall hosted by ABC, Joe Biden said an 8-year-old should be able to "decide to be transgender." This isn't new ground for Biden; his Foundation has been partnered with Gender Spectrum for several years.
Some links in our original 2019 thread are broken or have been moved. Here's a live page from Gender Spectrum discussing their alliance with the Biden Foundation. genderspectrum.org/articles/blog-…
Here's Biden last night promoting the idea that an 8-year-old child ought to be able to "decide to be transgender."
Read the very passage Turban screen-capped here to see how disingenuous he is. Turban launches near daily attacks on those who know & work w/detransitioners. Why does Turban do this, while ignoring what detransitioners themselves say, several of whom responded to this tweet?
Ashley is an "amab" activist with a vendetta against anyone who dares to talk or write about detransition & the recent uptick in girls/women who identify as trans. Check out Ashley's most recent paper (linked here) & this thread.
Ashley has been at this for awhile; for instance, launched a campaign last year to prevent the hiring of Sahar Sadjadi at McGill University for the crime of raising questions about medical treatment of dysphoric youth.
"I remember thinking even before Kai was 3, this kid might be gay....& I thought that cannot happen...would not happen. We started praying fervently. Prayers turned into googling conversion therapy, and how can we implement these techniques at home to make Kai not be like this."
"Putting her in timeout for acting like a girl...for stealing girl toys. Spanking her...REALLY spanking her, every time she said mommy you know I'm a girl."
Watch the video, promoted by the ACLU. Yes, she really says this on camera. But what's left out:
In multiple magazine interviews, mom said the spankings and punishment started well before the child [in desperation?] claimed to be a girl. Like in this one for the Huffington Post: archive.is/zWlen
First we had "I am Jazz" on a subscription cable channel that not everyone watched. Now Jazz is a legal adult, and a new star is born on Netflix, the huge digital channel where most of us in the US go for our films and TV binge watching. But unlike in the case of Jazz...
...this child's mother gave interviews discussing how she did everything in her power (including repeated spankings) to dissuade her toddler from playing with toys the family deemed too feminine. Family members wondered if the 2-year-old child was gay. archive.is/zWlen
The family somehow (how? why?) were noticed in 2017 by major media outlets.
A new Twitter account this month promoting "affirmative" care for children/teens, and early medical intervention.
On testosterone since age 14.
"I am a happy boy."
A child (obviously "AFAB" "assigned female at birth") already declared at age 7 to be the opposite sex.
But 7 isn't particularly young when it comes to the affirmative model. We know toddlers are "affirmed" by the adults in their life as the opposite sex, like this 3-year-oldl who wanted to "grow a willy."
Why do certain MTF trans activists repeatedly lie to make their points? Here's Katelyn Burns 2 days ago, doubling down on a lie about one of the parents in @jessesingal 's Atlantic article. @Jennifer_star . Burns told the same lie in 2019, & was corrected at the time.
The current outrage and rehashed lies spewed by Burns and others of the same ilk are in response to detransitioners getting more attention in the media, as well as @jk_rowling tweeting Sunday's @thetimes article.
Here's our thread back when Burns first lied that the parent of a desister engaged in "obvious abuse" by going kayaking, playing board games, and encouraging healthy family time with her daughter. We know how to time travel, too, @transscribe .
Zinnia Jones is an online trans activist who advised dysphoric minors in a 2018 tweet and detailed article to obtain cheap alternatives to puberty blockers to "circumvent" parents who didn't agree.
What, you might ask, is Jones' current position on that 2018 advice?
In responding to a tweet by @jk_rowling yesterday, Jones doubled down.
Interestingly, another trans activist, older and more experienced than Jones, pointed out yesterday that the puberty blocker alternatives Jones wrote about not only might be dangerous--but wouldn't in any case be appropriate for adolescents.
