Reviewed the COVID-19 situation in the country, including preparedness of vaccine delivery, distribution, and administration. Over the last few days, cases and growth rate are steadily declining but there is no room for complacency. nm-4.com/X9h411
India is making steady progress in vaccine development, with three vaccines in the advanced stage of development. Our teams are also helping strengthen research capacities in other nations. Also reviewed aspects relating to vaccine storage, distribution, and administration.
We are committed to ensuring speedy access to the vaccine. For that, advanced planning is underway in subjects including:

Cold storage chains.

Distribution networks.

Monitoring mechanism.

Advance assessments.
Once again, I appeal to my fellow Indians:

Wear masks.

Wash hands.

Follow social distancing- Do Gaj Ki Doori.

We have to continue working together and fight this COVID-19 global pandemic.

The day Swami Vivekananda delivered his outstanding address in Chicago.

These great men have a lot to teach the entire humanity.
In 1918 Bapu wrote about Acharya Vinoba Bhave- "I do not know in what terms to praise you. Your love and your character fascinate me and so also your self-examination. I am not fit to measure your worth.”

Pranams to the venerable Acharya Vinoba Bhave on his 125th Jayanti.
Acharya Vinoba Bhave was one of the most devout followers of Mahatma Gandhi. He placed great emphasis on social empowerment and education. His passion towards Gau Seva was exemplary. He endeared himself to several people due to his humility and simplicity.

India grieves the passing away of Bharat Ratna Shri Pranab Mukherjee. He has left an indelible mark on the development trajectory of our nation. A scholar par excellence, a towering statesman, he was admired across the political spectrum and by all sections of society.
During his political career that spanned decades, Shri Pranab Mukherjee made long-lasting contributions in key economic and strategic ministries. He was an outstanding Parliamentarian, always well-prepared, extremely articulate as well as witty.
As India’s President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee made Rashtrapati Bhavan even more accessible to common citizens. He made the President’s house a centre of learning, innovation, culture, science and literature. His wise counsel on key policy matters will never be forgotten by me.

India is home to many toy clusters and talented artisans who can make toys that help strengthen life-skills and further psychomotor learning among children. We also discussed how latest technology can be harnessed in the toys manufacturing sector.
I urge start-ups and youngsters to focus on innovations in the toys sector. Educational institutions can organise Hackathons on this as well. Another area that we want to focus on is creating toys that are environment friendly.

Commendable work has happened in developing varieties that cater to specific requirements of agro-climatic zones. Various varieties have also been developed that will further our endeavour of a nation free from the menace of malnutrition.
India is working towards increased organic farming as well as farming on a cluster based approach. Efforts are also ongoing to encourage start-ups related to agriculture, especially ones that encourage usage of latest technology in the sector.
