1/6 AHRQ (Agency for Health Research and Quality) is supposed to be integrity based, fundamental principles...quality healthcare and patient-centered, etc. However, this Federal agency, a part of NIH is another mammoth bureaucracy that doesn’t care about patients rights.
2/6 U.S Preventive Services Task Force panel of 16 experts recommended that all adults to be tested for illicit drug use. Is there a hidden agenda here?The research panel is supposed be independent, voluntary and with high integrity, but is it?
3/6 Their voluntary qualifications specifically says that they mustn’t have ‘substantial’ conflict of interest. In legal terms...in other words, keep it on the down low as long as it isn’t substantial. Ambiguity bullshit in this case is subjective, moronic and insufficient.
4/6 AHRQ earlier this year gave Dr. Chou of Oregon Health & Science University Hospital a grant of $250k to research the efficacy and risk associated with pain relief. His conflict of interest was he had worked with Dr. Kolodny PROP, proponent against opiated treatment for pain.
5/6 Objectively wasn’t this a major conflict of interest considering the gravity of Dr. Chou’s research that would affect the lives of millions CPPs in perpetuity. Apparently all 16 of these questionable MDs and PhDs travel a circuit recommending various opinions and policies.
6/6 Their recommendations for every adult to be given Urinalysis by their physicians is lamb, insidious and violates patients rights. There has to be some other motivational factor and reason here. In my opinion follow the money to lobbyists representing all these test labs.
