@Hadithoftheday Israel.
Yaqub A.S had 12 children. The 12 children of Yaqub A.S had many offsprings. The 12 children were the 12 tribes of Bani Israel.
The twelve tribes of Israel are the descendents of Yaqub A.S, that's why Yaqub A.S also known as Israel.
@Hadithoftheday Israel is the name of the Prophet Yaqub A.S that is used when referring to the Israelites, known as the Children of Israel in the Quran.
Allah says in Qur'an:
"O Children of Israel, remember My favor that I have bestowed upon you and that I preferred you over the worlds." (2:47)
@Hadithoftheday Yaqub A.S had a son "Yusuf" A.S.
The story of Yusuf A.S is a unique one among the stories of prophets in the Qur’an.
The uniqueness of his story is that it is the only story of a prophet that is told in entirety in a single surah in the Qur’an, Surah Yusuf, Chapter 12.
@Hadithoftheday This is the most detailed and fascinating story in the Quran, involving both human weaknesses such as jealousy, hatred, pride, passion, deception, intrigue, cruelty, and terror as well as noble qualities such as patience, loyalty, bravery, nobility, and compassion
@Hadithoftheday Yaqub A.S was a patient man.
Indeed, His patience is Exampelary.
Allah says in Qur'an:
Patience is most befitting” (Qur’an 12:83)
@Hadithoftheday When someone says sabr (patience), we often hear the word jameel (beautiful) added to it i.e "Sabrun-Jameel".
This famous phrase was used by Yaqub A.S.
Amidst all the mysteries and agonies, Prophet Yaqub A.S remained patient and steadfast.

Umar R.A became a Muslim after listening to the beginning of Surah Ta-ha.
Ta-Ha.
We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed
But only as an admonition to those who fear Allah (Qur'an 20:1-3)

He was astounded. It was as if the Qur'an was addressing him directly
After reciting few verses, his sense of justice could no longer deny the truth of the Message
Prophet ﷺ had also made a dua for this occasion -"O Allah, help Islam with one of the two men that is more beloved to You: Abu Jahl or 'Umar ibn Al-Khattab & the more beloved was Umar."
As Umar R.A was reciting Qur'an (Surah Ta-ha), his heart began to melt down. He began to cry.
He then went straight to the house of the Prophet ﷺ. Once he was admitted in the house, the Prophet ﷺ asked him for the reason of his visit.
