On the eastern lateral wall, Vaikunta Perumal is carved in seated posture, on the left is Hayagriva, which is unique to this Temple.
On the western lateral wall, Pundareekaksha Perumal is carved in standing posture, on his right, Nrusimha.

The entire Mandapa & the Murthis, except Sayana Padhmanabha are covered with paintings from Pandya era, retouched by Nayakkas.

In front of the Temple, there is a Bhu Devi facing the entrance, a Dwajasthambam, Bali Peetam & Garuda facing the sanctum!

Opposite to Oli Pathi Vishnu Gruham, we have this Mountain stream "Arangan Sunai", as mentioned in the inscriptions, which the locals say has never dried in Centuries.
In the same complex, we have a Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vacheesamudaiyar as mentioned in the inscriptions, locals say Vagisanathar Temple.
Temple was erected by Videlvidugu Kuvavan Mutharaiyan, during the reign of Dantivarma Pallava, inscription dated 804 CE mentions it.

Inside the Shiva sanctum, we can see a huge Shankara Narayana Murthy carved slightly similar to the size of Gangadhara Murthy in Upper cave, Rockfort.

Inscriptions of Dantivarma are in Pallava grantha & Tamil characters, apart from that we have inscriptions of Sundara Chozha, Vira Rajendra, Jatavarmar Sundara Pandya & Vijayanagaras!
We have two interesting inscriptions mentioning Tamil years Bahudhanya & Subakrudhu, one each in Shiva & Vishnu Temples.
Inscription dated Aippasi 10, Subakrudhu year was by One Araiyan Mangan Then Kondan of Thenmavur, talks about consecration to Kamalavalli Nachiyar Sannidhi.

Bahudhanya year inscription in the Shiva temple wall is greatly damaged, couldn't fetch the details.

ASI has restricted photography inside the Temple, hence no photos of inscriptions, etc.
There r 5-6 separate compounds in 3 km vicinity of this Temple with ASI boards, supposedly excavation sites, we have to wait & see what Pallavas & Pandyas had left for us to unearth.
