Most of the people who hv bn to dis place hv had no idea abt it as they jst entered it out of curiosity. Those who hv bn here described this place as an oasis of peace in the heart chaos. This is the king’s very own property Kashi Raj Kali temple or the secret temple of Varanasi.

The 200 hundred yrs old property which was built by the Kashi Naresh served as a private temple for the royal family. The extensively craved gate of the complex is a clear e.g. of the architectural mastery of that time. At the 1st glance, it looks like an old house but
once you enter the vicinity you realize that it is much more than that. The closer you will go & the more you look at it you will keep finding the interesting things. From the symmetrical design to details of the craving, Everything looks so perfect & royal that
it gets hard to imagine how they made it without the modern tools. This temple is a specimen of the developed stonework in India.
However, according to the locals, the temple you see is a fake temple hiding the real one beside it. There are many legends related to it but
very less to no historical records. It is said that whenever masons tried to add a floor/dome to the original temple, the walls sunk in the ground. They tried to add a doom many times but failed so they decided to leave it as it is and build another one right in front of it.
Another theory says that the king wanted to hide the real temple frm the invaders to secure the Shivling. So, he decided to keep the real Shivling in a small room & built an extensive piece of art right in front of it. Anyone who visits the vicinity hardly pays any attention..
to the other Temple, as they are occupied in checking the aesthetics of design. The small white temple behind it is called the gautameshwar temple.

If it's true that the king wanted to keep the temple secretive then he did it so well that even after being on the busiest of
Varanasi Nobody get the clue of its existence. As a result it sees very less to no crowd and remains peace full all year round..!

According to a source, Kalucharan Parida, a farmer of Tanaman village, was ploughing his farmland Wednesday afternoon when ..
he felt his ploughshare hit something hard.

Yes, you read that correct! 🤩

Siem Reap,city in Cambodia is the place where you can witness Sahasralinga.
@LostTemple7
1️⃣ Sahasralinga, Karnataka

The place is known for 1000 Shivalingas that are carved on the rocks along the banks of the Shalmala, in the town of sirsi.
As far as history, there 1000 lingas were installed by the ruler Sadashivaraya of the Vijayanagar Kingdom b/w 1678 & 1718.
The unique thing about these are that each linga features a carving of Nandi, the bull right in front.

The place looks truly mysterious and gorgeous too at the same time when you get to see so many lingas together playing hide and seek with the river waters.

🚩Kamakhya Devi Shaktipeeth - menstruating goddess!! 🙏

Guwahati is known as the temple town of Assam. There are many ancient & new temples in Guwahati with different religious significance. This temple is devoted to the menstruating goddess known as Kamakhya Dham.
@LostTemple7
It is considered the most powerful Shaktipeeth. The present-day temple was built by King Naranarayan of Cooch Behar in 1665.
There are different stories about the origin of Kamakhya temple but the story of Shiva & Sati is most significant.
Sati’s father Daksha did “Yagna” and he didn’t invite Shiva & Sati because Shiva was ascetic. Even though Sati went alone to her father’s house. Her father insulted her for marrying Shiva and due to humiliation Sati jumped into “Yagna” fire and died.
