@Hadithoftheday Umar ibn Al Khattab R.A
Abu Bakr R.A was in the firsts to accept Islam.
Ali R.A was the youngest one to accept Islam (9 years old)
Uthman R.A was also one of earliest converts to Islam.
At about 32, Umar R.A accepted Islam which was one year after the migration to Abyssinia
@Hadithoftheday When a small group of Muslims migrated to Abyssinia, Umar R.A. became worried about the future unity of the Quraish and decided to have Prophet Mohammad ﷺ assassinated. On his way to murder Prophet ﷺ Umar met his friend who had secretly converted to Islam but had not told Umar
@Hadithoftheday He told Umar R.A to inquire about his own house where his sister & her husband had converted to Islam. Upon arriving at her house, Umar R.A found his sister and brother-in-law reciting the verses of the Quran. He started quarreling with his brother-in-law.
@Hadithoftheday When his sister came to rescue her husband, he also started quarreling with her. Yet still they kept on saying: "you may kill us but we will not give up Islam". Upon hearing these words, Umar slapped his sister so hard that she fell to the ground bleeding from her mouth.
@Hadithoftheday When he saw what he did to his sister, he calmed down out of guilt and asked his sister to give him what she was reciting. His sister replied in the negative and said "You are unclean, and no unclean person can touch the Scripture."
@Hadithoftheday After cleaning himself, He started reciting some verses of Surah Taha.
Ta-Ha.
We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed
But only as an admonition to those who fear Allah (Qur'an 20:1-3)

He was astounded. It was as if the Qur'an was addressing him directly
@Hadithoftheday After reciting few verses, his sense of justice could no longer deny the truth of the Message
Prophet ﷺ had also made a dua for this occasion -"O Allah, help Islam with one of the two men that is more beloved to You: Abu Jahl or 'Umar ibn Al-Khattab & the more beloved was Umar."
@Hadithoftheday As Umar R.A was reciting Qur'an (Surah Ta-ha), his heart began to melt down. He began to cry. Umar’s eyes filled with hot tears. “Is this what we were against,” he asked. “The One who has spoken these words needs to be worshipped.”
@Hadithoftheday Umar R.A then went straight to the house of the Prophet ﷺ. Once he was admitted in the house, the Prophet ﷺ asked him for the reason of his visit.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ grabbed him and said, “Why did you come here, son of Khattab?”
@Hadithoftheday Umar R.A replied: "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I have come to you in order to believe in Allah & His Messenger & that which he has brought from his Lord." Upon hearing this, the Prophet ﷺ and the Companions shouted "Allahu Akbar" so loudly that it could be heard at the Kaabah!
@Hadithoftheday Within days, Umar lead a procession of Muslims to the house of Allah where they prayed openly. It was on this occasion that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gave him the nickname Al Farooq –one who is able to distinguish truth from falsehood. Islam was strengthened with the conversion of Umar
@Hadithoftheday When the enemies of Islam heard the name of Umar, their knees would tremble. When Satan saw Umar R.A walking down the street, he would turn the other way.
@Hadithoftheday At the time of Acceptance of Islam by Umar R.A, the Muslims numbered were thirty-nine. Umar (R.A.) said:

"I remember that when I became Muslim, there were just thirty-nine men with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I brought the number to forty."
@Hadithoftheday Abdullah Ibn Masood R.A said:

"We felt a sense of pride when Umar became Muslim, for we could not circumambulate the Holy Mosque and pray, until Umar became Muslim. When he became Muslim, he fought them until they sent us free. Then we prayed and circumambulated the Kaaba."

@Hadithoftheday Monkeys/apes.
Allah says in Qur'an:

So when they exceeded the limits of what they were prohibited, We said to them: “Be you monkeys, despised and rejected" (Qur'an Surah Al-Araaf , verse :166)
@Hadithoftheday Allah says in Qur'an:

"And you had already known about those who transgressed among you concerning the sabbath, and We said to them, Be apes, despised."
(Qur'an. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 65)
@Hadithoftheday The People of Saturday or People of Sabbath were a townsfolk from Bani Israel who were tested with the Sabbath, the day when they were ordered to leave their worldly affairs and be totally devoted to Allah. All week-long they would go fishing with scant return. +

@Hadithoftheday Intentions or Niyyah.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily actions are by intentions, and for every person is what he intended. (Bukhari and Muslim).
It's one of famous Hadith :
" إِنَّمَا الأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ "
@Hadithoftheday Intentions are the roots of every action. It reflects the underlying motives of why we plan something or do what we do.
"Actions are (judged) by intentions (niyyah), so each man will receive what he has intended for.” [Bukhari & Muslim]
@Hadithoftheday A virtuous intention is the source of all goodness. The heart is where intentions are formed.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, in the body there is a piece of flesh; if it is sound, the whole body is sound, & if it is corrupt the whole body is corrupt. Truly, it is the heart. -Bukhari

@Hadithoftheday "Mann" and "Salwa" or they are called collectively as "Mann-o-Salwa".
Mann-o-Salwa is a type of food that was gifted to Bani Israel (people of Prophet Musa A.S)
Allah says in Qur'an:
"And We shaded you with clouds and sent down to you manna and quails,
(Al-Baqara 2: Verse 57)
@Hadithoftheday When Musa A.S was living with people of Bani Israel in the field of Teeh, Musa A.S asked Allah for the meal to fulfill the hunger of people who were with Him. Allah descended the two heavenly feasts for them from the sky on request of Musa A.S. One was “Mann” & other was “Salwa”
@Hadithoftheday Allah says in Qur'an:
O Children of Israel, We delivered you from your enemy, and We made an appointment with you at the right side of the mount, and We sent down to you manna and quails (salwa) .” (Qur'an, 20:80)

@Hadithoftheday Israel.
Yaqub A.S had 12 children. The 12 children of Yaqub A.S had many offsprings. The 12 children were the 12 tribes of Bani Israel.
The twelve tribes of Israel are the descendents of Yaqub A.S, that's why Yaqub A.S also known as Israel.
@Hadithoftheday Israel is the name of the Prophet Yaqub A.S that is used when referring to the Israelites, known as the Children of Israel in the Quran.
Allah says in Qur'an:
"O Children of Israel, remember My favor that I have bestowed upon you and that I preferred you over the worlds." (2:47)
@Hadithoftheday Yaqub A.S had a son "Yusuf" A.S.
The story of Yusuf A.S is a unique one among the stories of prophets in the Qur’an.
The uniqueness of his story is that it is the only story of a prophet that is told in entirety in a single surah in the Qur’an, Surah Yusuf, Chapter 12.
