Look at @EliotHiggins' "response": he won't answer my question (), but he will try to weasel his way out of it by impugning me to others.

I'd say he's getting desperate to save his reputation, but in fact he's only affirming it: a NATO state-funded coward.
Update: NATO state-funded propaganda outlet @Bellingcat and its founder @EliotHiggins still have not answered my simple question: did they verify the claim at the heart of their latest attempt to attack the OCPW whistleblowers? Their silence speaks volumes. More to come.
Anyone want to know the answer to why @EliotHiggins never answered my question? Because it exposed that the premise of @Bellingcat's latest attack on OPCW whistleblowers was an egregious falsehood.

@TheGrayzoneNews has the proof:

thegrayzone.com/2020/10/28/dra…
Bellingcat claimed to have uncovered a letter that disproves OPCW inspectors who challenged the censorship of their Syria chemical probe. But in one of many falsehoods, @Bellingcat's "letter" was in fact only a draft that was never sent. @TheGrayzoneNews obtained the real letter.
@Bellingat's hit piece on the OPCW whistleblowers is based on a letter they thought was sent, but actually wasn't. Based on that false premise, they made outlandish claims & accused others, including me, of concealing evidence that doesn't actually exist.
.@Bellingcat's false premise leads to a series of nonsense. They try to claim that five paragraphs of an unsent draft letter somehow "proves that a chemical attack did occur" in Douma & "that any notion of a cover-up at the OPCW is false." Those are quite the five paragraphs!
Aother insane @Bellingcat claim: "...behind closed doors, the Russian and Syrian governments have both agreed with the conclusions of the OPCW report" that, Bellingcat says, proves Syria's guilt. Yes that's right: according to Bellingcat, Syria & Russia have secretly confessed!
It's worth considering what this claim says about the intellectual seriousness of Bellingcat & those who amplified their article. They're asserting that Syria and Russia secretly declared themselves guilty of a murderous chemical attack, all while fighting the claim in public.
Beyond their imagination & limited intellectual capabilities, this insane claim is based on a maximalist, fanciful reading of two paragraphs in Bellingcat's unsent OPCW draft letter, that in no way supports the conclusion and is contradicted by what Russia & Syria actually said.
We have also published an April 2019 letter from OPCW scientist Dr. Brendan Whelan -- author of the original, censored Douma report -- to the Director General outlining his concerns about the manipulation of his investigation & the dubious final report.
thegrayzone.com/wp-content/upl…
Just compare Dr. Whelan's eight-page letter to the five *paragraphs* published by Bellingcat (from a draft letter that wasn't even sent!) and judge for yourself who is more credible, and substantive. web.archive.org/web/2020102621…

In response to @TheGrayzoneNews (thegrayzone.com/2020/10/28/dra…), @bellingcat admits its article was based on a false premise: an OPCW letter they claim was sent was in fact an unsent draft.

Of course, they also can't do a retraction without new falsehoods & evasions. #Bellingcaught Image
“The final version omits much of the information contained within the draft version."

No, the final version — aka the actual letter that OPCW Director General Arias sent to inspector Whelan — omits *all* the "information" Bellingcat falsely claimed was sent. Not even a sentence. Image
".@bellingcat stands by the extra information in the draft version and has verified its authenticity and its conclusions."

Oh you’ve "verified" it, have you? Same way you "verified" your false claim that the letter was sent? (hence why I asked you about that multiple times). ImageImageImageImage

There's a lot that's unimpressive about this new Bellingcat article attacking the OPCW whistleblowers, including their inability to quote me properly (which is the least of it -- more on that soon).
Before I comment further, I just sent @EliotHiggins, @N_Waters89 and @Bellingcat some questions about their story, and look forward to their response.
I wrote @EliotHiggins @N_Waters89 @Bellingcat an email outlining a few of the article's issues & asking some questions. They haven't responded, but have already made a correction based on an issue I raised. This correction is important, but doesn't begin to scratch the surface.

Russiagate is a giant act of projection: intel officials & media stenographers, aka troll farms, have bombarded the public w/ disinformation & fear-mongering that sows doubts about US elections, all while accusing Russia of doing the same. Here's latest: nytimes.com/2020/10/22/us/…
Usually caveats are buried, but here it's 2nd graf: US intel officials "have pieced together details of what they *believe* are Russia’s plans." And guess what: "Officials did not make clear what Russia planned to do." Of course not! They only "Believe" -- they don't *know*.
More caveats: purported Russian hackers breached a network that -- guess what -- had "nothing to do with the casting and counting" of votes.

BTW how do we know they're Russian hackers? We don't! They're only "*believed* to be operating at the behest of Russia's" FSB. Believe!

Just did a search of @TheIntercept: this self-described "fearless, adversarial journalism" outlet, whose "founding principles" include "that whistleblowing is vital to holding powerful institutions accountable" has yet to acknowledge the OPCW Syria whistleblowers' existence.
Even NYT has acknowledged the OPCW scandal, albeit in a laughable & disingenuous way. NYT buried it in a fawning profile of Western troll farm Bellingcat, & shrunk the trove of OPCW leaks -- including the original, censored report -- into a mere "email from an investigator." 😂
Douma story is not one that @TheIntercept has ignored. Since alleged Douma attack of April 2018, TI ran at least 10 stories about or mentioning it -- most favorable to Trump admin narrative. Zero stories on the whistleblowers since their suppressed findings emerged in May 2019.

Oh no. This is devastating for Chomsky. A notorious troll and stalker is upset at him for believing that the OPCW’s own inspectors should be heard. How will Chomsky weather this storm? thegrayzone.com/2020/10/20/cho…
Hey @im_PULSE, what url did you link to in order to substantiate your claim that Chomsky “joined a notorious conspiracy theorist”? Surely you, in trying to scold a revered figure such as Chomsky, must have solid evidence to support such a serious charge. Let’s see the link. 🍿
You wouldn’t believe how often I hear this around these parts:

New @PushbackShow: Noam Chomsky warns that the Trump admin poses a unique threat to humanity, but its most reckless policies -- from killing nuclear weapons accords with Russia to imposing new sanctions on Iran -- are receiving far too little attention.
Chomsky on OPCW scandal: "US & its allies want evidence provided by some of the top inspectors to be banned... they want to ensure it's not discussed, meaning they have no confidence in their own conclusions, meaning the US bombing of Syria was undertaken on false presences."
"Whether their report is correct or not, I have no judgment. But what we do know is the US & its allies don't want it discussed. They don't want evidence discovered by the some of their top inspectors to be looked at. The OPCW is capitulating to this, which is pretty shocking."
