Organiser @opinionatedleft is calling themselves #occupyf23
No police response. #auspol #nswpol
1/ Students march to the Vice Chancellery building
2/ Protestors reach the building and begin banging on the doors and windows that require security passes, or security to let them in.
3/ Students storm the Vice Chancellery building, having been passed in.
Security overwhelmed and impotent.
No police response, one unit a quarter mile away, PO&R already left.
4/ Campus Security passes in Protestors unable to clear interior security doors.
5/ University staff are bewildered, confused, unable to comprehend what is happening.
Staff are unable or unwilling to respond in a way that may stop the protestors occupation.
6/ Campus security are impotent, acquiescent, and deferential to the occupiers.

While occupation protestors vocally dominate their claimed space, a working class electrician arrives to enter but is given a form to fill by security staff before allowed in.
7/ Protest Organiser and Law Professor Simon Rice is satisfied with successful occupation and leaves.

The Guardian reported he was with a group of protestors who stepped into traffic on the Princes Highway before being shoved off the road by police.

8/ Mid-protest I stop to loot campus drinks for refreshments.
I even leave my unwashed items *outside* the dishwasher. #wild #rude #yolo

Protestors begin policing their space beginning with... Me.

No media or police throughout the unedited livestream facebook.com/watch/live/?v=…
10/ Campus security previously impotent quickly find new purpose as vassals. Recognising the winds of change as the new occupiers become authority, security confronts me to find out if I am an admitted student.
11/ Jack Mansell of the USYD Students Council arrives to begin more directly policing their newly claimed space.

With security under new management, and no NSW police response, I recognise my welcome has run out and I take my swift leave away this new policing force.
12/ Student Council Jack Mansell announces his new policing directives while the Sydney University building is under his protestors new occupation.
