guy who a) utterly botched the covid response b) infected himself through carelessness c) continues to mock precautions while 1k/day die ... has a steady 40% approval rating
we're doing great, aren't we folks? everything is fine
nobody has more contempt for Trump voters than Trump himself
every socialist in the land is trying to give health care even to these rubes. but Trump would kill them without a second's thought, and in fact is doing so #RIPHermanCain

"The first time [ @AOC ] saw a doctor or dentist in years was when she became a congresswoman." boy does that resonate lol vanityfair.com/news/2020/10/b…
last time I went to the dentist was 2016, I think. went to the ER in 2017, I believe, though can't remember the last time I got a checkup

if you read the actual article, which Glenn notably fails to link to, you'll find he has (as usual) misrepresented the argument theweek.com/articles/93543…
literally the first sentence of the piece says Russiagate was the biggest political story of 2016-19. it is *the resolution* of the story which has not gotten much attention
one reason for this, I argue, is that @ggreenwald (among others) has made the story radioactive on the left through tendentious misrepresentations, trusting war criminals, and spittle-flecked tirades against people who take issue with his wrong views

seems like an underexplored possible dynamic here is fussy journalists blaming riots on protesters that were really caused by police shootings vox.com/2020/6/2/21275…
in other words, the MSM *always* having a four-alarm freakout when buildings get burned down is a major confounding factor in polling showing that people turn against protests associated with riots
even if you are very upset about property destruction, it is perfectly logical to blame the police. "cops shouldn't shoot an unarmed man in the back 7 times in front of their kids, and then beat the shit out of people who are upset. that's how you get riots!"

let's talk about pickup trucks, because I just can't get enough of conservatives calling things "soy"
people like @tedcruz assumed that I was talking about all pickups in the tweet from the other day. but I was talking about a specific design trend: the cliff-face front grille. here is the 2020 Silverado HD
I actually grew up driving trucks and doing construction work in rural Colorado. this part right here is both dangerous and pointless. you create a much bigger blind spot & foul up your aerodynamics for no reason

sales of mega-pickups, which have basically been deliberately designed to intimidate and kill pedestrians, are booming wsj.com/articles/picku…
the trend of 6-foot grilles that create massive blind spots and pull people under to be crushed when they are hit is 100 percent a marketing gimmick
hundreds of conservatives here doing their best to demonstrate that yes, huge trucks are about postmodern culture war signaling and unsubtle Freudian neurosis
