1) It might help ensure more choice in the market if your other partners in big tech and media didn’t act to immediately crush any microblogging platform that directly competes with Twitter.
Fuck it. Thread time. Jack won’t read it but fuck it. Let’s lay it out.
3) Reply deboosting, hiding Tweets from view, hiding replies under a sensitivity filter that continues to act even AFTER said filter is turned off, blatant trend manipulation that Twitter even admits they physically alter, ghost bans, automated unfollowing, the list goes on.
4) And most importantly, any ‘openness’ in moderation practices or ‘human’ appeals processes is immediately curtailed by the ideological oppressiveness of moderators.
A problem that Jack himself has admitted exists, but does nothing to resolve it.
5) And then, without anyone’s consent, they proceed to bombard our timelines with shit like this:
6) When the two flavors of items that Twitter itself pushes is blatant leftist partisanship and fear mongering, and opinions from equally qualified professionals are banned from the platform entirely, there’s ZERO GOOD FAITH OCCURRING.
7) Twitter is an active participant in the polarization of many topics of debate, and their attempt to end the polarization by eliminating an ideological pole from the site FURTHER INCREASES POLARIZATION.
8) Yet Jack wants to pontificate about fairness and moderation and good faith.
Here, I won’t be totally critical.
Let’s say he actually wants to end this abusive cycle of increased partisanship.
Here’s what needs to happen.
9) First, Twitter must end the ideological monopoly within its company.
When half of the country is automatically disqualified from working at your country for fear of being driven out due to political retribution, you’re doing it wrong.
10) Second, Twitter’s big tech and media partners have to stop propping up Twitter by driving out competitors
Its illegal, we know it, you know it, the DoJ knows it, and the more you spend lobbying dollars to forestall investigations into your cartel the harder your fall will be
11) Third, we don’t trust your moderation process.
There were active pedo groups on this site that to my knowledge still haven’t been banned despite active campaigns of reporting them, which they LAUGHED AT as the few who did get banned then bragged about circumventing said bans
12) That plus the vitriol and use of the platform to actively coordinate rioting, violence against police, and blue checks going unpunished for advocating for the doxxing of individuals in brazen disregard of Twitter ToS...
There is no recovering from this level of mistrust.
13) I’m going to go radical here.
Jack likes ‘radical’ ideas.
And I bet he likes saving money.
He wants community involvement?
Fine: Community moderation.
Give people the option to take part in juries of peers when tweets are reported; not outright illegal content, to note.
14) Just get rid of the illegal shit right off the bat, no questions asked there.
But everything else, give users the ability to randomly see reported tweets, include a blurb about the relevant bit of ToS the tweet was reported to violating, and a innocent/guilt button option.
15) Blur out the username and profile picture, use your algorithms to ensure you’re not picking a jury with less than say 3 degrees of follower/followed separation.
Subject each reported tweet to five votes. Majority rules.
16) In situations of coordinated reporting campaigns, blue checks being involved, individual abusing the reporting system, etc, then you escalate it.
Suddenly, LOOKIT THAT!
You save money developing moderating bots, and from hiring moderators, because its volunteer driven now.
17) Offer benefits like longer tweet privileges, optional little ‘helper’ icons, stuff like that, or maybe temporary relief from ad tweets, and people will volunteer by the tens of thousands.
18) Finally:
STOP TAKING SIDES IN POLITICAL DEBATES.
You want people to trust Twitter?
Twitter taking one side and actively banning the other side’s talking points off the site MAKES PEOPLE NOT TRUST YOU.
Do you think the other side is loony and dangerous? Fine. PROVE IT.
19) That’s the funny thing about free speech.
Inevitably, the correct side wins.
You’re not responsible for the lives of people lost by the wrong side, and there will be lives lost.
It’s not your fault, and attempts to suppress the other side ELEVATES THEM.
20) Really, Twitter, let’s say you guys really are right, that you’re on the correct side. Let’s say, Drumpfler is bad, COVID is an extinction event, and Biden is completely innocent. Let’s say all this is true.
BY ACTIVELY SUPPRESSING THE OPPOSITE, YOU GAVE IT MORE POWER.
21) You think a nose ring and being left of Mao after a magic acid trip enlightened you into the highest echelons of the Leftist hierarchy will save you when Trump wins?
No.
You’re going to get blamed.
They know you gave Trump more power by censoring him, despite the excuses
22) The structures of control you built with your media partners and the other big tech colluders can be used just as easily to destroy Twitter. Twitter is the appendix of Big Tech, the vestigial organ that’s useless and removed when it starts spewing toxins accidentally.
23) But there is a chance. There is an opportunity to reverse course.
If you don’t smoke yourself into another vision quest with peyote first.

force a refresh
Tradition is former presidents RETIRE from politics. Not set up foundations (OFA anyone?) AND ACTIVELY CAMPAIGN FOR THEIR SUCCESSORS. Or get the FBI to spy on opponents >.>
2) However, as fair as that point is, I am fresh out of fucks to give.
Behold, my field where I farm my fucks.
See that it is barren.
It is so barren, I'm having to lease it out to a retirement home for aged GOP Senators where they can safely frolic under the sun.
3) The fact of the matter is, the GOP is dragging its heels on FISA abuse, spygate, social media bias, and a multitude of other raw abuses of civil liberties and American ideals because they either a) get a fuckton of money from those groups or b) want to take control of them.
The State Department not only knew, but they were up to their ears in the scheme, facilitating the meetings and clearing the way for international travel by the big players in the Biden pay for play ring.
2) Doughboy Vindman being offered positions in Ukraine’s government? That was just part of the kickback schemes. Yovanovich was going to be getting cushy ambassador spots for her part. People were going to get upper level cabinet positions so they could get a cut.
3) Wait for it. Just fucking wait.
The billions getting dropped into Ukraine were going to the same people paying Hunter millions to get access to then-VP Biden. Ukraine was their fucking money tree that kept growing nonstop. The State Department KNEW where the money was going.
See, it’s funny. Trump supporters knew all about Hunter, and it was extremely relevant to the election as Hunter’s actions while Joe was VP was just a preview of what would occur if Joe was the president.
2) Meanwhile, the WORST the Dems could come up with wasn’t even against Ivanka and Jared, who were in the fucking White House, but instead a 15 minute meeting that was clearly a Fusion GPS and State Department setup, a meeting which was a waste of time per everyone’s testimony.
3) Twitter promoted the absolute FUCK out of one, and is now censoring the other.
It’s funny, really.
Seriously, I’m LAUGHING. It’s clown world all the way down, for 2 reasons.
First, the censoring of the story became the story, and it became a much larger story.
2) Sometimes, the path to victory is not furthering your own path, but fucking up the opponent’s path.
What do Iowa, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina have in common?
3) They are Harris- I mean, Biden’s path to victory.
Assume you know what your opponent’s gameplan is, in this case Harri- fuck, did it again. Assume you know Biden’s plan. Assume you’re ahead comfortably. What do?
