Significant Weather Features are:
♦ A cyclonic circulation lies over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal & adjoining North Andaman Sea between 1.5 & 4.5 km above mean sea level. Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal by tomorrow,

the 31st October, 2020. It is likely to move towards Bangladesh coast during subsequent 48 hours.
♦ Under the influence of the above system, isolated heavy rainfall with moderate thunderstorm & lightning is likely over south Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram &

Tripura during 31st October-01st November, 2020.
♦ A cyclonic circulation lies over Tamil Nadu coast & adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal in lower & mid tropospheric levels.

Under its influence, isolated to scattered rainfall with moderate thunderstorm & lightning very likely over Kerala & Mahe and Tamilnadu & Puducherry during next 2 days with isolated heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal during next
24 hours.

♦ Rainfall activity is likely to increase over south Peninsula from 01st November, 2020. Scattered rainfall, moderate
thunderstorm & lightning with isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu and Kerala during 01st-03rd November, 2020.

♦ Generally dry weather very likely over most parts of Northwest, West, Central and East India during next 5 days

♦ A cyclonic circulation lies over north Tamil Nadu-south Coastal Andhra Pradesh coasts & neighbourhood in lower & mid tropospheric levels.

Under its influence, scattered rainfall with moderate thunderstorm & lightning very likely over Kerala & Mahe and Tamilnadu & Puducherry during next 5 days with:

(i) Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Tamilnadu during next 24 hours and isolated heavy rainfall on 30th October, 01st and 02nd November, 2020.
(ii) Isolated heavy rainfall over Kerala & Mahe on 01st & 02nd November, 2020 and over South Interior Karnataka on 02nd Nov.

♦ In view of significant reduction in rainfall activity over most parts of the country the Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from the entire country today the 28th October 2020.

♦ Simultaneously with the setting in of northeasterly winds in the lower tropospheric levels, the northeast monsoon rains has commenced over extreme south peninsular India today the 28th October 2020.

♦ A cyclonic circulation lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal off north Tamilnadu coast in lower & mid tropospheric levels.
