Imagine attending a vigil for someone to have it be disrespectfully crashed by right wingers excited to show off their racism & hate. Tonight, that’s the unfortunate reality for Kevin Peterson Jr.’s family and friends as they try to mourn his death at tonight’s vigil in Vancouver
There are many heavily armed citizens including on the rooftops of local business
Right wingers have brought a tank to the vigil. The disrespect is unreal. It’s disgusting

Very large group here from Seattle to show solidarity for Kevin Peterson JR. Crowd is currently chanting “ACAB! All cops are bastards!” With a strong drum line
We approached a line of cops in their vehicles as we were marching. The crowd halted and officers announced that the bridge was closed. (It isn’t actually closed, they’re just fascists, allegedly)

You don’t get to avoid accountability by saying you’re nonpolitical & nonpartisan. Your post made it political. Congratulating ACB is compliance with white supremacy & misogyny. Just because she is a woman does not mean she is any less of a monster.
“We are here to lift up girls & women” start by taking a stand for what’s right, speaking up about it & standing behind it & backing it up. Educate the youth. Encourage the youth to speak up & take a stand and do what’s right. Don’t congratulate someone who will set us all back.
The response is even worse than the original tweet. The appointment of ACB is setting back FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS for trans folks, women, minorities... SO MANY PEOPLE. Instead of standing up for them & setting a good example you chose to

Last night, Indigenous community members from Six Nations in Ontario, Canada dug up a highway at 1492 Land Back Lane. This land is being threatened by capitalistic development even though it is not rightfully theirs to build on. Earlier in the week activists were attacked with
“less than lethal” munitions and had assault rifles pointed at them after they were defending their land from a camp sweep, the LEO response resulted in officers being pushed out of the area and met with a volley of projectiles and police vehicles with smashed windows.
After this happened, hundreds from the community joined the occupation to protect their land with bodies as well as surround it with burning barricades to help keep out any law enforcement officers.

Early yesterday I spoke with someone named Adedeji who is a local in Lagos, Nigeria. Adedeji was in Lekki at the time attending a demonstration where they were protesting police brutality when the Nigerian army open fired on protesters.
