Total caseload: 5,723

- A Winnipeg woman in her 50s
- A Winnipeg woman in her 90s, as a result of the outbreak at Maples Personal Care Home
Regional breakdown of new Manitoba #COVID19 cases:

231 Winnipeg
35 Northern
34 Southern
33 Interlake-Eastern
16 Prairie Mountain
Note new cases in significant numbers in every region of the province.
Top Manitoba health districts by active #COVID19 cases:

1. Downtown Winnipeg: 474
2. Seven Oaks: 351
3. River East: 245
4. Fort Garry: 217
Hospitalization data will be published later today, the province says.
Winnipeg test-positivity rate: 9.9 per cent.

[The province is now releasing this daily.]

"Officials advise this number is less reliable due to the smaller sample size."
Again:

Wash your hands
Stay home when you can
Mask up when you can't
Keep your distance from others
Stay home if sick
Get tested if symptomatic or exposed
Hang out with as few people as possible

And ...

Local businesses need you
Also ... you don't need a public health order to tell you what to do.
We're seeing daily deaths.

High case counts increases the likelihood hospitals won't be able to treat severe cases ... and will merely triage them.

That means some people will die from a lack of health-care capacity.

Don't help make this happen.

Today's Manitoba #COVID19 situation, in summary:

- Record daily case count and record test-positivity rate
- One more death and two more outbreaks
- 2nd day recommending no socialization outside members of your home.
If the province were to make a no-socialization rule an order, as opposed to a recommendation, the time to do it is soon.

Here's why ...
It would take two weeks to drive case counts down. There would continue to be some residual spread in households after that.

Four weeks would hammer the spread to next to nothing.

That means ...
