Anti-restrictions protestors have responded to Winnipeg's mayor.

Dr. Marcia Anderson with the First Nations pandemic response team says BIPOC are under-represented among people with three #COVID19 vaccine doses but over-represented so far for pediatric doses. Anderson says risk of breakthrough infections is higher among BIPOC communities.

Health Minister Audrey Gordon says the surgery-backlog task force won’t be named until after the the throne speech on Nov. 23.

She said everyone knows someone affected by the surgery backlog, including one of her own relatives. Gordon offered “thoughts and prayers” to those affected.

MB Liberal leader Dougald Lamont says he doesn’t understand why Southern Health is not in Code Red. He says police and public health inspectors are being harassed and abused.

Monika Warren from Shared Health has replaced Lanette Siragusa at the public health briefing today. Dr. Roussin is unveiling slides, showing growth in cases in Southern Health and in Winnipeg.
