The Tory government's decision to deny Scotland access to full furlough, outside of English lockdown periods, is outrageous and demonstrates Scotland will never be an equal partner in the UK.
Thousands have already lost their jobs due to Tory cuts. There must be a U-turn.
Scotland has been calling for a full furlough extension, and the devolution of financial powers, for more than six months now - but the Tories have refused to listen and failed to act.
It is disgraceful that Westminster has only acted when the south of England needs support.
By withholding crucial support, and blocking the devolution of financial powers, Westminster has deliberately hindered Scotland's ability to respond to this crisis.
We now face a growing Tory unemployment crisis across the UK - and the blame lies firmly with @BorisJohnson.
It is vital that, even at this late stage, the Tories announce a U-turn and guarantee Scotland will receive full furlough whenever it is needed.
Whatever happens, it’s clear the only way to properly protect Scotland's interests is with the full powers of an independent country.

I’m afraid today’s statement by @RishiSunak fell far short of what is required to save jobs.
The Tory government is threatening Scotland's economy, and risking a winter of mass redundancies, by withholding the investment and powers needed to tackle this crisis #coronavirus
The SNP has repeatedly called for a full job protection scheme but today's half measures go nowhere near far enough.
The Tory decision to scrap the furlough scheme next month puts 61,000 Scottish jobs at risk and will leave many good businesses struggling to survive.
The forgotten millions, who have been excluded from financial support schemes throughout this crisis, will continue to get little or nothing from the UK government after today’s statement.
That is completely unacceptable and shows the Tory Chancellor isn't listening. #ExcludedUK
Yesterday, @theSNP warned the Tory government's fiscal plans don’t go anywhere near far enough to protect jobs and prevent lasting damage to our economy.
Today, companies have announced around 10,000 job losses with growing warnings of mass redundancies.
No one is pretending that every job can be saved. But there is little point in Tory ministers apologising on breakfast TV, then refusing to take the action required. If the Tories refuse to act - they will bear their share of responsibility for the jobs that are lost as a result.
The SNP has set out a plan that meets the unprecedented scale of the crisis we face. We want a stimulus package of at least £80bn (4% GDP), extension of the furlough scheme into 2021, and the devolution of powers & Barnett consequentials to enable a tailored response in Scotland.
To say today's fiscal statement was underwhelming and disappointing is a significant understatement.
What should have been a major recovery package of at least £80bn+ in investment, failed to meet the scale of ambition needed to protect jobs and tackle this unprecedented crisis.
Worst of all - the Tory government is threatening Scotland's recovery by prematurely cutting off the furlough scheme for millions of workers, and withholding the crucial financial powers that Scotland needs to deliver tailored support for people, public services and businesses.
While other countries are extending support into 2021, the Tory government is ignoring Scotland's interests and putting people's jobs and livelihoods on the line by withdrawing this lifeline too soon - risking a raft of redundancies and lasting damage to our economy.
I have been asked by a number of people if I can clarify what is likely to happen between NHS Highland and HC One in terms of the ownership and running of Home Farm care home.
Let me reiterate that all parties have the best interests of the residents, their families and staff in arriving at the best solution for the future of Home Farm.
Everyone will also understand that discussions have to be allowed to take place in an appropriate manner and as the local MP I am trying to play a constructive part to assist all parties in this.
It has been confirmed to me that one of the staff members at Home Farm who had previously tested positive for covid-19, recovered and was tested negative twice has tested positive again.
The staff member concerned was re-rested on Sunday and received confirmation last night that they were positive. It is important to stress that when someone does test positive having previously had covid-19 that they may not necessarily be infectious.
Clearly however we cannot take any risks. I have been in touch with NHS Highland this morning and I have asked that as a precaution all staff and residents at Home Farm are tested today and the results must be known ahead of the court hearing tomorrow.
The care Inspectorate’s case relating to the operators of the Home Farm Care Home in Portree, HC One came in front of the Sheriff Court in Inverness yesterday with a judgment that the case is to be heard again on the 24th June.
First & foremost has to be the well being of the residents and their families as well as the staff working at Home Farm. The community of Skye has supported all of those caught up in this situation and in particular our thoughts are with the families of those who have passed away
I am grateful of the partnership with the NHS in supporting the residents and staff at Home Farm. As Roddy Dunlop QC acting for the pursuers in tis case said yesterday “There will come a point in time-and it is anticipate that may be soon-at which NHS Highland require to depart.”
