1/ YOUR DUMB MAPS THREAD -- here are the different kinds of maps I'm seeing out there, and what they mean to me.

Map #1: the safe bet I'd bet my actual money on (the polls are basically right, nothing really interesting happens, I am a nerd and love data)

2/ Map #2: The Trump upset map. If Trump is going to win, this is probably how he does it. (I am a pragmatic Trump supporter who really wants to see a path for him and this is the path I see)

3/ Map #3: The Biden crushing map. If the polls are wrong, but underestimating Biden, we quickly head toward this outcome. (I am a diehard Democrat who has aneurysms because of Trump and this is my optimistic hope for election night)

4/ Map #4: The Trump sycophant map. If we were living in a different century with a different president and up was down and down was up, this is it. (I am a diehard Donald Trump Jr. fan and I will not believe any outcome is real besides this. I <3 owning libs)

5/ Map #5: The hot take map. If you were me, and you wrote a dumb newsletter and saw a unique trend that you didn't think anyone else was giving enough attention, you'd post this map to make a point about Texas. (Hi. I'm Isaac. This is me and my map).

6/ Map #6: The tie map. You found the website 270towin in the last 3 weeks, and you realized you could create a tie using the website rather easily. Then you looked at the map and realized it could actually happen. (You're just getting into politics, and you still think it's fun)

7/ Map #7: The panic map. You're a liberal and you haven't slept much in four years. You aren't sure the polls are right in Michigan. This is the map that is your nightmare. (You refresh 538 every morning before you have your coffee).

8/ Map #8: The iron curtain map. You made a ton of horrible predictions in 2016, and you will not allow Twitter to own you 4 years from today. (You are half the people on this website)

9/ Map #9: The c😎l guy map. You're incredibly cool, man. And your map is radical. (You used to do art but now you do politics, your TikTok has 40,000 followers, and you just made all the places you hate red)

10/ Map #10: The Democratic insider map. You are 100% absolutely certain that Donald Trump cannot win, but you want everyone to know it's going to be the closest race possible (You think people won't vote if they think Biden is going to win)

END: That's it. That's every single electoral college map you're going to find on this godforsaken website. Now everyone can be quiet until 7pm EST (at the earliest) when we get even the first whiff of what's gonna happen.
