The plea by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), seeks details from Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea on segmented, or specific, offers made by the telecom companies to their subscribers.

Today, the Court queried the Central Government Counsel on why the petitioner's application for enrollment as a female was being denied.
This was unacceptable, especially as the person identified as female and the female category was recognised by the NCC Act.
The Counsel submitted that the NCC's objections were to the fact that she was a transperson, but that he needed further instructions on the exact nature of their objections.
