Court enquires about the 4th builder
SC: We have read the latest report, a balance amount has to be paid by all 4 and none of you have paid. Only 2.89 cr has been paid out of the 61 crores. All assets now stand attached.
SC: Keeping jain apart, the other three builders have given a proposal to the committee which was rejected. Either give a proposal to the committee afresh on repayment or we ask the committee to sell of all the attached properties.
Senior Adv R Basant: the government had paid initially 25 lacs and the rest was to be paid by builder, contractors etc.
SC: These committees have been set up for that
Basant: but it is not a judicial body
Basant: we have serious objections to the committee report. We have not been heard.
SC: give us written submissions within 2 weeks
Senior Adv P Patwalia: i appear for some flat owners, I too want to file written submissions
SC: We will give two weeks to all the parties to furnish a note
Senior adv Gopal Sankaranarayanan: Committee has requested for an Amicus to be represented as allegations have been levelled against the committee itself
SC: We grant four weeks time within which all parties to file written submissions. Meanwhile committees mandate is extended till further orders. We appoint Adv Gaurav Agarwal as the amicus. He is to discuss with committee and submit a report.

Court: The case of ‘Sardar s/o. Shawali Khan’, is the correct interpretation of Rule 19 of the Maharashtra Prison Rules and the proviso under Rule 19 covers the POCSO Act.
