🤔If someone has asked me whether I would have been writing a thread on West Ham defense mid-way through the last season, I would have laughed at them.

🙌Change in inevitable. Adapt, Improvise and Overcome😅. That's what this game is all about.

📈West Ham defense This season vs last season:

🔨Shots Conceded/90- 10.14 vs 13.18
🎯SOT Conceded/90- 3.57 vs 4.97
🤸‍♂️BC Conceded/90- 1.42 vs 2.71
⚽Goals Conceded/90- 1.42 vs 1.63
🎗xGC/90- 1.19 vs 0.76

This season West Ham have conceded just 10 big chances..

..from 7 games(3rd best in the league) compared to 103 BC conceded from 38 games last season- Worst in the league.

West Ham have the 4th best xGC(8.33), 5th best xCS(2.25), 4th best among shots conceded in the box(39) in the league this season. All these staggering numbers..

... despite playing Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Spurs, Wolves, Leicester in 6/7 games so far.

🤔Why doubling up isn't bad idea on wildcard?

There are still doubts over whether West Ham could go back to a back 4 against the smaller teams putting Coufal & Masuaku's place in danger.

In my opinion, West Ham would stick to the same team & same formation which has paid..

.. them rich rewards.

🚀The best thing about WHU defenders is that all of them are owned at <10% TSB & getting them right now would be a great move if they continue their form.

✅If you are looking for one WHU asset, it definitely has to be Cresswell!

The positions WHU defenders are in looks really good. Should move only higher with the fixtures!

📈Cresswell has most assists(3), 2nd among BCC(2) among defenders. Set pieces is a added bonus🙌

🤔It would be too early too compare him with the likes of FPL🐐 Baines.But there are striking similarities. So join the train before he rises in price & becomes a 'Premium defender'

🤔If you are thinking double up is worth or not, Defensive double ups are always a gamble worth risking.

Creswell+ Masuaku = 54 points
TAA+ Robbo = 48 points

..start of the season. But having known how the season has gone so far, it is time to adapt.

🙌Form+Fixtures both favour West Ham's defense at the moment. Transfer them in!
