In the first matchup, @WashingtonNFL allowed the Giants to convert 7 of their 11 third downs. That's got to be better if Washington hopes to avenge that Week 6 defeat.
Need a fantasy defense to stream? @WashingtonNFL's is available in almost 30% of ESPN leagues and has a great matchup today against the turnover-prone Giants.
The "WFT Daily" series this week included stories on @WashingtonNFL getting help at wide receiver, Kamren Curl replacing Landon Collins and Morgan Moses having perhaps the best year of his career. Check them all out using the link below:
Alex Smith is speaking to the media now. Said he felt "a lot different" than when he replaced Allen during the Rams game in Week 5. Said like he's gotten in a lot of work over these past few weeks and has felt better and better.
Smith says the second interception is "the one that really hurts." He said he tried to make a play but threw it late, which resulted in the game-ending interception.
"You can't throw it late over the middle. That's football 101."
Smith said that getting hit was a big part of feeling more comfortable after the Rams game. With that part of his comeback out of the way, he could fully focus on getting back to where he was.
Head coach Ron Rivera talking to the media now. Follow along for updates.
Rivera does not have to comment on Steven Sims Jr.'s game status because he's still on Injured Reserve. But based on Sims practicing fully all week, it would make sense to activate him for Sunday's game.
Rivera does not believe the team has found its identity yet because of its youth. They are still growing and developing.
QB Dwayne Haskins is on the #Redskins virtual draft party with Voice of the Redskins Larry Michael and Fred Smoot. Haskins calls Gibson "dynamic" and said AGG plays "above the rim."
